I'm in my third year right now and had a really hard time at first going from being a very active high school youth group participant to just college student. I wasn't aware of any christian groups on campus and was going through some hard stuff at the time and had my battles with my faith but I had brought some books of yours with me so that helped remind me of what i knew in my heart and now I'm running the youth program at my church... its not easy but I'm really glad i fell into the position. Thanks for all the inspiration! I found this to be a great read. And the irony of it... posted on the day word got out in the news about the student attending the LA City college gets backlash from a professor in regard to his pro-Prop 8 speech. What's even more shocking... the number of angry comments supporting the professor! The cry of sexual harassment! I am.. just beside myself with the level of bitterness these people harbor toward us.... where did it all go wrong? This is great to read. Also, don't forget to check out the Lighthouse (christian "dorm" in former (mine) fraternity housing). There are plenty of Christians in the CSU student body, you just have to search them out to get connected. Our son Anthony is looking forward to CSU-Fort Collins this fall as he prepares for graduation from high school. Praying we can challenge, equip and mobilize Anthony (and all the kids graduating this spring) to not only hold onto Jesus Christ, but to make a difference for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ as they start another leg on this journey...
