    Answering Teen’s Tough Questions

Posted on Saturday 14 March 2009 by Greg @ 6:43 am
    Filed under: Youth Ministry

Tim Schmoyer, myself and a bunch of our youth ministry friends did a live talk on timschmoyer.com about how to answer teen’s tough questions. If you are a teen or work with teens you should listen to it. I think that the conclusions that we landed on are pretty important for youth leaders as they seek to make fully surrendered disciples out of their teenagers. Check it out here…unless you’re chicken.

There. I threw down the schoolyard gauntlet. So check it out or I’ll meet you at the flagpole after school. On second thought…no I won’t. I’m 43 years old now and could break a hip. Just listen to the podcast or I’ll make more idle threats and taunt you without mercy for the glory of God.

        Today im shredding the gnar.
I went outside and tried to do this trick on the ramp. Of course I was scared to death and I ended up getting hurt big time.

Why skaters have to get hurts! Lol lol.

      • Hello Greg!
As always, it’s a pleasure to see all of the conversations occurring on other websites. I wanted to invite you to join my facebook conversation going on right now with friends of mine who are devout Christians and some who are not. I just returned from the Ignite Green conference in Des Moines Iowa this weekend and one statistic that was thrown out there over and over again was that 70% of church going youth walk away from the church after high school. I have asked the question why on my facebook page and I’m amazed by the response and the discussion that is occurring. If you are interested in checking this out, or one of your staff is interested, I would sure love to have you join the conversation. The 2nd question I asked was, out of the 70% who leave after high school, how many return in the their 20′s or 30′s? Why or why not?

Thank you so much for all that you do for youth ministry. Currently I am the youth coordinator of our church and I asked for prayer as guide the youth until a youth minister is found. God Bless, Melinda Norton
