Hey, I know this is totally unrelated to the blog, but I have no idea of how else to get ahold of Greg…(I sure do hope he reads this). I just watched a couple of AMAZING videos of this guy named Louie Giglio talking about the awesomeness of how God created the universe. He talks about some of the intricacies and the vast enormousness of all that is out there. These vidoes are 40-60 min. long b/c they are like “sermons” i guess you’d call them, but they are absolutely mind-boggling!!! I think you should use them in your Dare 2 Share Ministries, or at least part of them. Right now, I dare you (Greg and any other bloggers) to Google “the Whirlpool Galaxy,” and see what the first picture is to pop up. The blue-ish blob thing wiht a black blob in the middle. That is the black hole in the center of the whirlpool galaxy. Now, look a little closer…what does it look like to you? Also, look up the protein “laminin”. What does that look like to you? And read up on it a little closer, and see what its purpose is. Pretty amazing, huh? His website is 268generation.com and I think it would be incredible if you used some of this stuff in Dare 2 Share conferences.

You’re absolutely right about the error of replacing the proclamation of Christ with Social Justice. But we can’t throw the baby out with the bath water. I think there must be a balance – the proclamation of Christ and our faith, WITH caring for the poor, needy, and outcast of society. Our call to care for the poor is a great call – but one we must do in the name of God, while proclaiming His Son. On a related note… why did God destroy Sodom… (Ezekiel 16:49) most folks do not realize.

Greg – have you read either of Shane Claiborne’s books (Irresistible Revolution -or- Jesus for President)?

I hope you enjoyed the Northwest. That is my “home” and I miss the beauty of it all! I now live in Iowa, the Lord’s doing, and I believe that one of the reasons God has brought my husband and I to Iowa is to work with the youth! Praise God!!!
