Sounds Amazing! Im excited to see how this turns out.

I dont know if it would fit into “the Cause” at all, but Ive been thinking that you (or Dare2Share) should have some kind of resource for cutters/suicidal people. or talk some at your conferences. I havent been to the last two so you may already do that. I read the story about Hayley (http://www.gregstier.org/rants/razor-blades-and-altar-calls) and its an amazing story, Im so happy for her taking that step. and reading the nearly 200 comments on that article it is easy to see this is a big issue for teens. I have many friends who are cutters or former cutters, in fact on my facebook I look on groups about cutting and depressing for people I can try to help. I find that alot of the time the only thing they need to keep them from cutting, is someone to sit and listen to them cry. they are crying out for someone to say they care, and actually mean it. this may work into the cause, its been said “they wont care how much you know, untill they know how much you care” Im actually talking to a friend on facebook right now, who was hospitalized a few months ago for cutting and depression, and she is slipping back. I think if teens would listen to the crys for help they would have an awesome ministry opportunity, the amount of times Ive heard “why do you care so much” or “why havent you given up on me yet” is amazing, and I always say that its because “God diddnt give up on you, so I wont either” another good point to use is to say “hey, look at Jesus… He was hurt, and cut, and He bled… so you dont have to, you can give your pain to Him, he was cut so you dont have to”

I remember my first D2S (2004 battle zone) you talked about “Jesus thinks your drop dead gorgeous” over the years I have used that alot in talking to people, mainly girls, because its so true, I tell them “God doesnt make mistakes, so that means he things your drop dead gorgeous, and nothing anyone else thinks matters” I think that line about Jesus, is a very true and powerful statement that will stick in the heads of people.

again I dont know if this works into the idea of “The Cause” but as I was talking to my friend, I was trying to think of any online resources for her, my first thought was D2S, because you guys have amazing resources for the teen age group on alot of topics. so I thought I would suggest you have something for cutters, or a guide thingie on how Christians can help cutters… because the amount of tie ins to Jesus are astounding. talking about pain, bleeding, cutting, death… its like Gods saying “here is a really hard problem the person has, but nearly every single thing they say can be brought back to Jesus in about 4 words… enjoy”

PS: if you do anything like this, you may need a section on encouraging the christian who is trying to help. alot of the time it is exhausting, and Ive seen many Christians who simply cant deal with it, and then they feel horrible for “letting their friends down” but I believe its kinda like a spiritual gift. so be the one who takes all the hurt, day after day, and still point to Jesus… and say “see Im still talking to you, I still care, so you can see that Jesus does too” sometimes I still end up crying myself to sleep sometimes, after talking to a friend who lashes out at me (cussing me out) because they are so mad at the world. I hurts and it takes alot of praying to sign on to my MSN the next morning to talk to her, but I know thats what she needs to see, that Jesus is always there. but some sort of encouragement part would be nice too

I don’t have much, if anything, to give money wise. Though, what I do have I will give: My time, effort, and life to sharing, defending, and reaching anyone with the Gospel. I feel bad I can’t help with the financial effort, but no doubt do you have my help for The Cause.
