    Venti Jesus Please! endorsements needed

Posted on Tuesday 11 December 2007 by Greg @ 7:27 am
    Filed under: Rants

If you read my book Venti Jesus Please! and wouldn’t mind giving it an endorsement I would be deeply grateful. We are entering it into the Outreach Awards contest. This annual affair evaluates the most effective outreach products in different categories (Children, Youth, Adults, etc.)By God’s grace and because of a crack team of researchers here at D2S my little red book, Dare 2 Share…A Field Guide for Sharing your Faith took first place in the youth category last year.

But as excited as I am about the little red book with a white cross on it, I’m just as excited about the little white book with a coffee cup on it. Why? Because God is using it in my own sphere of influence to create the conversation. One of my neighbors trusted in Christ through it and others are talking about it. At the Starbucks I go to the baristas are reading it and passing it on to friends. I have to keep re-stocking them. The opportunities God has given me through this book have been many and powerful.

If this book has ministered to you or to someone you know please write an endorsement for it in the comments below. We are self publishing this book and I’d love it to win its category this year. We are always up against stiff competetion (that are usually marketed by multi million dollar publishing companies) so I need all the help I can get for this book to win. Okay, so I’m competitive. But hopefully for the right reasons. If this book wins it could help boost sales and with every sale the ministry advances. I’ve never taken a dime from my book sales so every penny of profit that comes in helps us transform more teenagers to win their world through Christ.

Would you take a minute and type out a little endorsement for Venti Jesus Please! Please?

    Signed, Greg Stier

      • As a teenager myself Venti Jesus Please! Is one of the few books I have found that really related to the type of problems I encounter and questions I am asked while sharing my faith. Through this real life example I was able to see how to more effectivly share the Christian faith, and then I passed the book on to one of my friends.

      • Greg,
Thanks for writing ‘Venti Jesus Please’. I read it and it really is a great book. The other day I had a parent tell me she read in the book and she was thinking about giving it to a relative of hers who doesn’t believe in Jesus. That is because the book has great questions, she said. This is one of the few books I really feel comfortable giving to teens and adults who are searching for the Truth. All the best!

      • “Venti Jesus Please” is an excellent source for outreach. It is written to explain the basic beliefs of Christianity from the beginning. The book is written from the perspective of an athiestic teenager during a conversation with a Christian friend at a Starbucks. The book lays a foundation for the reader to understand Christian beliefs and also gives a great outline for anyone looking to share the Gospel more completely with those around them. So if you are looking to brush up on your skills in sharing the greatest story ever told (excuse the cliche’) or would like to find out more about what Christians believe this book is a fun and easy read for anyone of any age.

      • Jesus Christ through Stier has done it again! ‘Venti Jesus Please!’ is even more engaging than his ‘Dare 2 Share…A Field Guide for Sharing your Faith’! Once started I could not put it down until the last page! This book, while written from an atheist perspective during a charged conversation between three friends discussing the relevance (or lack of of relevance) of God, should be read by EVERYONE. Our friends in Starbucks will answer many questions for some and raise still more questions for other readers. Not bad benefits for a book that is a 50-minute read, shorter than the Gospel of John (especially KJV), and fits in a back jeans pocket. Last and absolutely not least, this book in in perfect harmony with the “green” revolution taking our culture by storm. God has Intelligently Designed ‘Venti Jesus Please!’ to be a most powerful tool as readers recycle by gifting and re-gifting this captivating book to friends.

      • Venti Jesus Please! is a great book to share when you don’t know how to start a conversation about your faith. Stier presents it in a very culture relevant and easy to understand way. It is a book that non-Christians could read and not be offended because it is written from the perspective of a skeptical atheist. This book could change the way that you look at Christians and the way we believe.

      • My question isn’t so much related to your post or the book, but, in your long experience in youth ministry why do you think young Christians in particular are rarely interested and or captivated by apologetics, philosophy and theology…or interested in a classical education toward the goal of minds appropriately equipped for a fruitful young and growing Christian life pleasing to God? I don’t say that there are no young passionate Christians, I know many, but in your knowledge and experience why young Christians interested in a good Godly education seems so rare?

      • Venti Jesus Please is a very realistic book. The characters are so believable that it is not like Greg writing the book, it is like the athiest writing the book. It is a short, moving tale that has corrolations in it easily used in everyday life especially for teenagers. I bought two Venti Jesus’ at the Denver Survive confrence, one for me and one for a friend of mine.

I picked up the book planning to read one chapter, but ended up engulfed in the story and I feel way more confident about sharing my faith after reading it.

I hope to see more books like this!

I ordered some and gave them out. The kids actually read the book(some in one night) and passed it along to their friends. Thanks for writing the book! It is changing lives.

It is a short easy read that will grab you from the first page and not let you go till you get to the end of the book to see how it ends. It shows how one student shares with two others and the challenges he faces and how he deals with them. It is the perfect short story on evangelism success, not conversion success but evangelism success. Sharing your faith and letting God do the rest. This is a must read for students everywhere. Thanks Greg for writing this book, I think it is destine to be a Christian Classic.

      • Ill have a Venti Jesus Please, double shot of Apologetics, with an extra warm relationship with God. Thanks.
VTP is an amazingly written conversation. Its real and light, yet packs a message that could change your life. It tackles many of the critics arguments in a straight forward yet non-aggressive way. It also describes the relationship that Christ offers us, as our heavenly father. This book does not put followers of Christ on a pedestal, and openly admits that those who follow Christ are not perfect, yet it shows clearly that God is a forgiving and just God. It is a great resource to read, study, or give to friends who are searching for answers.

        (Amazing job Greg!)

      • Greg – It is my awesome pleasure to endorse, Venti Jesus Please! I have been in student ministry since 1997. I have given students more books than I can count to read over the years. This is the first and only book that students come back and say, “Can I get another copy of Venti Jesus Please, I want to give it to a friend but I want to keep my copy.”

I have told students, “give your copy away and I will always have some you can pick up another one.” My small group of nine girls has given away thirty copies at last count! They have loaned copies as well. They tell me that students at school see them with the catchy title and cover and ask about it and then they enter into a conversation about spiritual matters and give them the book. Then a few days later they follow up with them. One student said one of her friends read it that afternoon and called her that evening to talk about it! Several have won friends to the Lord as a direct result of reading this book!

This book helps make evangelism easy and natural for students. I think that youth ministers ever where need to keep several spare copies around for students to give to their friends! Thanks for writing this awesome evangelism tool! – Jan Rayl

      • hi

i am hazel a youth minister from the Philippines. i got your Venti Jesus Please book last 2007 at Youth Specialties Conference in Missouri. You were there too and was able to ablaze all the youth workers/minister/pastors to be passionate and dare 2 share Gods to His people.

the book is awesome! my only mistake is that it took me a year to read it but it brings the same message over and over again. And now i pass the book to my bible college students, that they may see the heart of a youth. i wish we have more copies of this here in Manila. We hardly get this kind of materials.

thank you so much for committing your life for God’s kingdom. God bless you, your family and your ministry.
