What is incredible about this situation is that I understand completely what you are talking about. I am a youth pastor and often times as a "professional Christian" I rely so much on what I can do, and sometimes forget that it is God that does it all through me. Thanks for the reminder. I thank God for your experience of "12 hours of silence" and the testimony in provides us. Your messages at Creation 07 East and the meeting with youth pastors was very meaningful to me. Wow! I was there and heard you speak, I would have never known you were having any voice issues. God is awesome, He never seems to cease amazing me of what he can do and how much he moves us, Creation was awesome, our first year there, we look forward to returning next year. God’s presence their is overwhelming at times and what he does is so powerful, it was great to be able to witness his love & glory not just in my life but in those around me. I sat in on your youth leader training at Creation. Never would have guessed you were voice-less for the previous twelve hours. We had a similar battle at Creation. I was part of a 2 church, 50 person group. We faced almost every conceivable obstacle and hardship at Creation this year. Between dead batteries on the U-haul, the four rainstorms, kids who were homesick, kids with major attitudes, etc., I got to the point on Friday morning during the last big rain storm where I just begged God to have some mercy on us (on me!). Little did I know as we planned for this trip, that God would use you to give me a vision that will help us shape our mission and work as a church youth ministry. As you spoke in the YLO tent, God showed me very specific things that I have been praying for…, things that give us the vision and shape that will help guide our discipleship structure and put teens in a position to consider Christ and grow through Him. Thanks for your faithfulness and perseverance!

oh man! I’m so happy your voice healed in time, I loved hearing your preaching! Thank god huh? that’s really cool that in that disaster, there was an open oppourtunity for you to figure so much out. You did great, and I agree, there was not one little sign of your having any voice troubles!! =]
