Triple Threat

Seattle, Atlanta and Chicago…the triple threat.

Over the next three weekends The Game Day Tour (aka "Dare 2 Share conferences) is coming to each of these three spectacular cities. I love the coffee in Seattle, the sweet tea in Atlanta and the pizza in Chicago…oh yeah, and the people are great too in all three of these cities!

Seattle is first up to bat and we are expecting over 4,000 teenagers! This is really cool considering that it is only a second year Dare 2 Share city! There’s something about the teens in Seattle that is postmodern, open, low key and fun. Last year it was right toward the top of the list of my favorite conference cities!

Second in the rotation is good old Atlanta. We hope to see thousands at the beautiful Gwinett Arena. Many of the churches in Atlanta have participated for years in Dare 2 Share and I love hearing stories from these youth leaders who are using the D2S tools in their YM toolbox to build and shape a generation fully surrendered to Jesus.

Finally we are off to Chicago, a first year conference city. We are expecting close to (or maybe even over) 3,000 teens at the Odiem event center. If we hit 3,000 it will take over Seattle as our largest first year event (we usually start with around 2,000!)

What do we need during these intense, intensive three weeks? Prayer, prayer and more prayer. Without God’s continued blessing, provision and wisdom we cannot make it. We are desperate for him.

But more than anything please pray for the youth leaders and teenagers who are about to be trained and equipped over the next three weekends. Pray that God does something revolutionary through them.

Because, ultimately, the real triple threat is not three D2S conferences in three awesome cities. It is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwelling in and living through each one of us.

Signed, Greg Stier

    • Gregory: Still waiting for you to add Dallas to the agenda. You could hit Dallas, Houston and San Antonio in short order for a Texas-sized triple threat ya know. Seriously, I am extremely proud of you and your work brother. I continue to read great things about the impact that D2S is having and I still cannot believe that at the epicenter is a second-rate roofer! Keep up the good work mister and get your tail to Texas soon. Duane

    • Can’t wait for you to get here in seattle…. Our church has been preparing for a week or so now… and tomorrow we have a funeral for two of the teenagers’ father. I am glad at least Lizzie is going. I think Andrew is going also… but pray for them… it will have been a week on friday. and I pray that they can keep on going especially in seattle. As Lizzie has stayed home this week to take care of her mother. and everytime i’ve looked at andrew, he’s either looking at the floor, or staring off into space. maybe this weekend will give them a special boost that i believe that they desperately need.  AMBER

    • Hola Greg! There can be no other cooler D2S cnfrence than St. Louis! This is totally random and all, and I got it from a fourtune cookie and I think anyone who belives in god should take it to heatr. "Nobody cares how much you know, till they know how much you care." Totally random, I know. You wouldn’t be the first to tell me that today or tomarrow or any day after that.                                                                      C’ya later, alligator,                                                                              Caitlin Buchanan

    • Greg, I can’t put into words my love and thanks for Dare2Share ministries. (Rather, I can’t put into words my love and thanks for your humble and loving heart!) GameDay was my second year at D2S and it rocked. My kids were blown away with Starfield and SuperChick. Oh, they got the teaching as well. I mainly wanted to say thank you. But, I also wanted to share that I did call a friend on Sat. night who my wife and I are good neighbors with and it sorta caught him off gaurd that I called. My wife and his wife talk a whole lot more than we do or have. Anyhow, I called my wife afterwards just to give her a heads up on what had gone down and her response was this… Well, I hope that didn’t push them away. We have been building a friendship with them for the past 4 years and she just doesn’t want to do or say anything that will drive them away or break our friendship. Ya know, I had a feeling that she was going to respond like that from our previous talks about how to let our friends see Christ in our lives.  Let me tell you, after sharing with my wife and hearing the response that I thought I would hear, I just felt like I hope I didn’t drop the ball on our friendship. Get some rest and have a nice day. Love ya, Doug
