Every time another Christian is apalled that we didn't circumcise our son, we have to show them this verse and others, reminding them that Christians the world over do not circumcise. That's not a requirement,  it has no value, no sacrificing your newborn sons' body parts. Being Christian is spiritual, not physical, in your heart, not on your body.  In my life, we’re having an exact repeat 2000 years later. I've been studying Galatians the past two weeks and wrote a post on my blog called "<a href="http://brianford.wordpress.com/2007/05/18/i-am-shocked/" rel="nofollow">I am shocked</a>." I wrote on how some try to twist the truth and preach a "different gospel." Nothing should get in the way of the simple truth of the gospel. As far as the "you mean to tell me" people, I had a conversation with one two days ago while shopping at Lowes for a new lawn mower. I ran into the father of a teen my wife and I know. We've been trying to reach him with the <em>truth</em> for a awhile now. And everytime we talk about spiritual matters he always relpies with; "I have trouble believing what you tell me. It seems too easy." Let's just say the conversations continue as well as our prayers for his heart to be broken for Jesus. Once again a great post!
