Hey Greg, ever thought about starting a "cause" on Facebook? That might be a good way to draw prayer and financial support from the young crowd. Just a thought. Standing with D2S in prayer. God bless you, and God bless Jeremy!

Greg,

Christmas day we were on the way to my mom's house. We had the car loaded up with gifts, the girls in their car seats on their way to Nana's house. Nana is a believer, but she also goes a little crazy from time to time. We are on our way there and she calls my wife to say, "dont bother coming you are taking too long to get here. we will just do Christmas together on a different day." (It was only 11am) Upon getting off the phone and telling me all of this, i began to hurt, bad. it didn't make sense and I wanted to call and give her a piece of my mind so I tried, she didn't answer. 3 times I called, no answer. I was like: Dang, O well, I gotta get over this pain, but how?

Just then I called my stepmom to see what she was doing. her mom's church decided to open up a soup kitchen to feed the homeless from 11-1pm. The timing was perfect so we re-routed and headed right over. As we got there, there was a lot of joy in the place. they had said that maybe 30+ homeless friends had come through and been fed. I sat down with a man named David and spent the next hour with him. A lot of healing happened in that hour, for me mostly, I got to forget all about my mom and her drama and talk to this dear soul and hear his stories. I tried to interject bits and pieces of the Gospel and God's power here and there, but I think I was just there to listen. As we were sitting there talking, a small child, Zachary, I think he's 11 years old comes up to David and just stares at him. I'm watching, wondering what is going to be said, and then it turns out that Zach was just waiting for David to finish talking. David looks at him, he looks at David, and Zach extends his hand to David with a $20 bill in it. David says, "thank you and begins to tell Zach to thank his mom, dad, sister, and family for the money." Zach does and then the dad comes back, "He says 'David, we appreciate it, but that's not our money, it's Zach's, he wanted to give it to you himself and we told him it was ok."

I was floored. Jeremy and Zach and their offering, wow, God, wow.

Your brother,

< Jh

Okay, so this one got me good too. I love that little boy of yours and have really enjoyed time with him this Christmas season. It's just like him to be used by God in such a mighty way to send us all one last, complete message as we finish up this season! Thank you, Jeremy (as I wipe away tears) for always listening to God and having such a heart for Him!
