Hey, Greg. My youth group and I attended the SEC here in Texas. I took your challenge and I called my father. He grew up in a catholic church, but rejected it at 18. When I was 6 or 7 I was saved (mom's parents are baptists and we would go to their church when we were with them). After that, dad didn't want us to go to church. He would refuse to let us attend. Mom and dad got divorced later and we started to come back to the baptist church. We joined Ridglea Baptist and became very active, all while trying to show God's love to dad and his family. After so much rejectetion, I stopped sharing. I would let him know by my actions, but I wouldn't talk about it. At the conference this weekend, I called my dad. He didn't asnwer his phone and called me back later. When he finally called back, he asked me questions that he knew I wouldn't know the answer to. When I told him that Jesus is the only way to get to Heaven, he rejected it as well. I quoted John 14:6 to him and told him that no matter how many good deeds he did, he would have to accept Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. we were on the phone for about 45 minutes. He changed the topic many times during that time and at then end of the phone call, he said that he was going to give up his parental rights to me. Because of mine and his past, I was kind of expecting it, so it didn't really affect me. Please pray that someone, maybe me, will have to face his critizism, his rejection and that God will soften his heart and accept Him. Thank you for coming and God bless, Emily

hi i was at the conferences in Texas. i took the double dare challenge and i called my best friend Elizabeth. she was once catholic but a couple of years ago chose to be baptist she started to come to church with me. she told me she was saved so i asked her for her testimony she did not really remember it so i did not think much about it but for the double dare i asked her again she told me parts and i told my mom and she said she had been catechism and she was probably not save. so when i got back home i invited her over to my house today cause it was late when i got home and so she came over and we hung out till an hour before she left and told her everything i knew about catechism that i learned from a lady at church and so she realized she was not saved we went and talked to my mom and she did the prayer and got saved today and i just wanted to thank you for the advise you gave me and now i know she will be in heaven with me one day so thank you and God bless you Courtney Kirk
