Thank you so much for the chance to hear about the new GO WIDE strategy. It really means a lot that you value youth leaders and their input so much. I can't wait to present the new strategy to the new team I'll be working with at Family in Christ. What I really like about the strategy is I think it will give the youth group a simple, consistent way to stay focused on what's important, and not get distracted by all the other "stuff". Superman was awesome, and when it's out on DVD there will be so many clips to use for discussion. The meeting also helped remind me how important it is for me to continue sharing my faith, and I got the opportunity to the very next day. She was a Mormon who had managed to realize what she was being taught wasn't right or true, but in the process turned her back completely on God. We had about an hour long discussion on it. I learned a lot about Mormons, and she heard the message of the GOSPEL. Thanks Greg for showing me how to engage in these conversations with love, courage and without confrontation.

Hey! I'm back from camping! (that's why you've been missing my supporting comments for the past week and a half.) Couldn't help, but think of the things you said about the waves (of course you were in Hawaii and I was in good 'ol Washington still.) as I ran through them. Anyway, glad to hear that Superman is a good movie and I can't wait to hear about all of this new e-team stuff. Sounds sweet. Can't wait to get even more details. L8r. Signing off, Ashley

That was a great afternoon, though I thought Your ePlan presentaion was more interesting than the movie. Superman Returns did have a lot of spirtual overtones, but by the end it seemed like it almost supported the DaVinci Code. Now think about it...see the connection? Probably not intentional but quite hilarious.

It was a GREAT day at the movies, but an even better day getting the inside scoop on the upcoming "GO WIDE" strategy. I met with my Senior Pastor today and shared with him what it's all about- he's stoked! We're not waiting for the curriculum to come out later this year, we're going to start implementing the strategy with the tools we already have, and what we learned yesterday, so that we have a head start on it- the lost in South Denver just can't wait any longer!! As for the movie, our next series which starts in two weeks is "Man With A Mission" and it's about the life of Christ. We're going to take a cue from the movie and go with a Superman style branding for the media aspect, rent out a theatre for our group to see the movie and have a G-O-S-P-E-L presentation at the conclusion. Thank you D2S for your love of, and investment in, youth and Youth Ministry!

Greg, Thanks for the movie. You are a cheap date. I really love to laugh, and so I will mention what I thought was the funniest moment in the movie. Lex Luther wants to make a point about something, and he asked his girlfriend, Kitty "What did my dad always tell me?" Kitty replied "You're losing your hair." and "Get out." Hmm. I guess its not so funny on paper but it was sure funny on the screen. I love a good movie with spiritual parallels, and this one, like Pirates of the Carribbean, had many. I also love someone with a passion for reaching (pursuing) our lost friends, community and world. Thanks for the great afternoon. Tom FSBC Co.Spgs.
