Do you guys think glue traps are more effective or snap traps.

We have had mice in the past no thanks to the satalite install guy boring a hole in out heat ducts, our house sits on a crawl space. We use snap traps with Super Chunky Peanut Butter & I wedge a peanut into the lever of death. When we found the hole the Satalite guy left I set the trap walked out of the bathroom & SNAP, a family of 6 little fices in one day. Also thanks to 50% off at the pet store & my daughters puppy dog eyes I have now hired a feline hitman to do the dirty work for me.

Here is what we use for our snap traps. Melt chocolate and smear it into the little holder. When it hardens the mice have to chew it to get it out. This has worked well for me in the past. We live in an old farm house in the country and have lots of opportunies to work with.

Living in the country, we had a cat that did our killing. Last year I moved into a house with a mouse problem, and we never caught much with anything. The best trap we had though was the glue trap…except we waited till it starved to death before we removed it…didn’t want it comin back ever again.

If you don’t have the youg’uns and D-CON works wonders. No muss, no fuss, a great metabolism booster and an awesome vitamin supplement for cats (just kidding on the booster). If you lean toward the catch and release method, my brother has oodles of pythons and boas that would love to give these tasty-er-furry balls or cuteness a hug.

Of course the snap trap is the quickest but I grew up in a family where the matriarch (mom) was a huge animal activist so we did catch and release with our mice.
My mom (we call her Mama Noah because at one time we had two dogs, two cats, two salamanders, two parakeets, an injured duck living in the bathtub and five baby raccoons living in an outdoor dog pen) swore by the live traps and peanut butter.
Peanut butter is the key.
