Meet Emma Blue, the Buddhist from GOSPEL Journey Maui

Posted on Tuesday 4 March 2008 by Greg @ 8:58 pm
    Filed under: Rants

Emma was one of the participants on GOSPEL Journey Maui a mere seven weeks ago. She popped into our latest chapel service and, you guessed it, we got her on the podcast.

She showed up and turned our weekly podcast (a series called “FIGHTING WORDS”) into a party. You are going to love this girl. She is simply sweet, unique and hilarious. She is also reading through the Bible and has already made it farther than most Christians have.

Pray for Emma as she, along with the rest of us, are on this epic journey, the gospel journey. I so long to call her a sister in Christ!

      • Awesome podcast. To hear that Emma is reading through the Bible is one thing, but to hear her explain and talk through what she’s read so far is great. It’s also encouraging because it shows it is possible to share your faith with anyone (even a buddhist) and get them searching. It give a some evidence that people are searching. That is awesome! I’m praying for Emma.

      • Greg, I can’t wait for Gospel Journey Maui. Also, I want to say that my students and I are pumped about taking the gospel to the neighborhood around our church. After the Phoenix D2S Conference, we’ve been challenged to live out our faith and not just talk about it in church services. I think we’ve become so used to sitting and listening to sermons and never doing anything about them.

Well, not anymore for us! We’re going out to share and we’ll learn along the way (a living sermon).

      • Greg,
I have something to tell you.I know you read this often.I have a friend who’s name is Kim.Well I worked on trying to share my faith with her and bringing her to church and nothing seemed to work.Well I emailed her this week because she is hardly home.I asked if she was gonna die today where would she go? Well Greg this friend recently was saved! And you know something I am pratically in tears I am so happy.I helped plant seeds but it came down to her seeing a loved one in a casket to think well I need to be saved now.So I hope this story makes you jump for joy.I am gonna try to get her somewhat invovled with stuff at my church.Maybe I’ll get her to go to Dare 2 Share next year!
