Greg. Greg, Greg, Greg.
Okay. So here's the deal. I've finally succeeded in starting a youth group in my tiny one-church anti-Jesus town in VT. Or will have succeeded if things go well this week. Anyway, this secluded little mountain town has no prospects of a youth leader and no real hope of getting one from somewhere else. For now I and the few other Christian kids have agreed to meet for prayer/bible study/discussion and try and reach out to a lot of kids and get them interested in a youth group. (I can't personally do this because I'm homeschooled and don't know a lot of kids here so I have to just help train/encourage the others to share their faith.)
But the thing is, we're starting with nothing. Even the church is very lukewarm and most people here are very anti-Christian. Parents get mad if I lend their kid a Josh McDowell book, that kind of thing.
It all feels very hopeless. I know God works in mysterious ways and I shouldn't give up, but I have no idea where to start. I know I'm going to be expected to do a lot of the teaching because the kids are all younger than me - mostly middle school kids - and I've spoken for Sunday School before (and some kids came to Christ when I shared the Gospel Message - praise the Lord!! Couldn't have done it without your books and podcasts and encouragement) and I'm really well-studied in theological matters. People know me as the Jesus Freak kid. The problem is I'm only 17 and I'm going to have to lead all these kids. I don't know where to start. Is there a curriculum or program or something I can get my hands on without paying a billion dollars? I just finished reading Ministry Mutiny and it was a real eye-opener as far as knowing what kids in youth group needs. But I have no game plan to impliment the vital points.
Besides Soul Fuel and the Culture Commissions, is there anything I can use to start having an organized plan? Your prayers would also really be apprieciated. We're trying to build a framework for Jesus to start a revolution inside of and it's going to take a lot of work and prayer.

Oh, randomly, I had a Bible question. So I know the Bible says anyone who doesn't accept Christ won't be in Heaven someday. And a lot of people ask the hard question "What about those who haven't heard of Jesus?"
Well John 15:22 says "If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin."
Doesn't that seem to imply that people who have not heard WILL have and excuse and NOT be guilty of their sin? This has been very troubling to me; I'm not sure if that's the case and I don't want to formulate a theory - I'd rather know the truth.
Thanks and God bless!!

dear Greg, the blaze tour comes to columbus tomorrow night. our youth group was soooo pumped for it, but at the last minute, our pastor gave us the "no go" because of the snow. i was incredibly bummed. this will be the first year i haven't been back to d2s since i got saved. which upsets me a lot. A LOT! also i was soo excited to see starfield because they were in charlotte nc when i was saved almost 4 years ago at the gameday tour. i've been praying and praying for a last minute miracle that we would be able to go somehow, but things aren't looking bright. but i know that God is sovereign and he will have his way, whatever that may be. He has a plan. I just want to ask of you one thing, because i will probably never have the chance to see starfield live again, would you please tell them that jessica mallow from riverton, wv says thank you so much for being a critical element that lead to her salvation? and yourself as well. Your ministry is very powerful. I, myself, have experienced it's potential first hand, and know what the power of God working through d2s can do. "many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's will that prevails." God Bless.
