    Jeremy getting baptized!

Posted on Monday 19 January 2009 by Greg @ 11:54 am
    Filed under: Rants

Yesterday was one stinkin’ awesome day! It was a thrill to baptize Jeremy as his “public proclamation of his inward transformation.” Maybe I’m a doting father but I really believe this kid is going to do some damage to the kingdom of darkness. It truly makes me grateful to the Lord for giving my wife and I a kid with such a spiritually sensitive heart and burning passion to tell others about Jesus.

If you feel compelled to post a word of encouragement to him it would be a great encouragement to him. I can’t wait to read them to him.

      • Jeremy, when you got baptized God had a huge smile on His face! He is so proud of you and so are we! Now you are to go out and save the world for Jesus! Always rely on the Holy Spirit for power, God’s word for wisdom, prayer for direction, and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it because you are a kid. You can do it and God has chosen you for something only you can do! He believes in you and so do so many people around you! Don’t forget that God is ALWAYS with you! Love ya buddy!

      • YAY, JEREMY!
We pray that God Grows Ever Stronger in your life, Mighty Jeremy!
We HAD to look up your name’s meaning, Jeremy.
Your name, Jeremy, is rooted in Hebrew and means “God will uplift”, “Appointed by God”, “God will raise up” and/or “God will set free”!
We know our God HAS Uplifted you, Appointed you, and Raised you Up so that He can Use you to set so many Free:-)
        Will and Suzanne
PS-Just wanted to thank you for teaching me the ‘Bible Hand’, Jeremy. I shared it again with kids at our church on Sunday during the children’s message. – Will

20 who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water,
21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

      • Hey Jeremy, how cool was that! I love reading your stories here in this blog, your love for Christ is very encouraging. I’m so happy for you! I do believe you can be (actually, you already are!) a great warrior for the Kingdom of our God. Live you life to honor God, live it all for His glory, man, and you’ll never ever regret it. I pray that our great God, who is powerful enough and completely able to keep you from falling (Jude 24), will always protect you. And, you know, He’s always with you, so don’t ever doubt it. :-)

        God bless!
