Touching tribute, thanks Greg. I have a brother in the Army (currently in Germany) who's taking correspondence classes at Liberty--this was a tragic, sudden event for all the Liberty community. Peace! -joshMshep

Ditto, Greg. Dr. Falwell was always faithful to the gospel. No matter where he was or what he was speaking about he always managed to bring it around to Jesus, the cross and the resurrection. I agree with you about his presence in the pulpit. I saw him preach many times and he always held the audience captive. While sometimes annoyed by him, irritated by him, and occassionally embarassed by him - I will miss him and his strong belief in God and His Word. Rejoice in the presence of your Lord, Dr. Falwell - I'm certain that you are!

I can hear Dr. Falwell right now on the streets of gold saying in his deep demanding voice, "O.K. Jesus, there are a few things I have been wanting to ask you, but first a bear hug." I remember being at Liberty University and Dr. Falwell would drive around the campus in his big black suburban and jokingly hit "Liberty boys" on the back of the head as he drove by hysterically laughing. I am not as familiar with the side of Dr. Falwell the world perceives, but I am familiar with the man on mission to train thousands of college students for the field. I have never been as challenged and tested as I was attending his training ground we call Liberty University. I am thankful for his faithfulness and although no one is perfect he sure left a legacy behind. Please know that I am praying for his family left behind, I know they'll miss him.
