    Crossing out my sins

Posted on Friday 17 July 2009 by Greg @ 6:06 am
    Filed under: Rants

Last week I was leading my four year old daughter through a bedtime prayer. It went like this:

    Me: “Dear God,”

    Kailey: “Dear God,”

Me: “Thank you for a beautiful day.”

Kailey: “Thank you for a bootiful day.”

Me: “Thank you for all your blessings.”

Kailey: “Thank you for all your blessings.”

Me: “Thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross to pay for all my sins.” (suddenly realizing it was probably too long for her to remember.)

Kailey: “Thank you for crossing out all my sins.”

I looked up, smiled and said, “Amen.”

      • Awwee, That’s cute :D Short, sweet and to the point!

P.S. please pray for Kate Mcrae. She’s 5 years old and is fighting a brain tumor. http://www.prayforkate.com I don’t know her, I found out about her on twitter. I’m completly heart-broken for this precious little girl! She should be having a normal childhood that doesn’t include fightinga brain tumor. She’s going to have another MRI today of her spine and head. I, and countless number of other people, are praying for her and her family!!
You can follow arronmcrae on twitter… I guess he’s her father.

      • There’s a reason we’re told to have faith like a child. The little ones get it. You don’t really have to dumb it down for them, its already plain and simple. Like she said, Jesus “crossed out all my sins”
Makes you wonder why, if even a little girl can understand it, most adults can’t. Thanks for sharing :D
