Greg, i didn’t know if u might see this, but I’ve been sharing with numerous friends since D2S Columbus, and I luv wat Gods been doing I’m my life. But my faith in my ability to share, and to b honest, Gods ability to move in my friends lives is shaken a lot. I know God works in ppl, but my friends haven’t budged! One refuses to even talk about God, 12 ppl I invited to youth group turned me down, and today one of my friends told me she would laugh if I was the one who went to hell. I want to not care wat ppl think, but all their mocking of me as the “Crazy christian girl” is discouraging me, and slowing my walk with God. I was hoping u would pray for me. Again, I don’t mean to bother you, and thank you for taking the time to read this.

Would like to know your thoughts on the usage of the term Christian. I’ve recently come to think that the world and we as believers use the term Christian to loosely. Why is that? Well, 85% of the people in Unites States of America call themselves Christians, that’s 85% of 247 million people.So that works out to be 209 million people. So that raises the question of how are those 209 million people doing in accomplishing Jesus’ mission? The reality is that those who call themselves Christians are no more likely to give help to a homeless person on the street than a non-Christian. They are just as likely to have an elective abortion as a non-Christian. Those who call themselves Christians divorce at the same rate as non-Christians. So how is a unbeliever in Christ suppose to be able to tell the difference between Christians and non-Christians? The actual word Christian is only found in the bible twice. I honestly believe it isn’t a word that Jesus coined either. Jesus’ words to his disciples were simple “follow me.” They did exactly that, followed Him. So for me I’m neither religous or a Christian. I have a working and love relationship with Jesus Christ, I’m a follower of Christ.

i hope this helps.. i am 16 and have only learned to trust jesus recently. i used to be aginst the whole idea till i met the youth pastor at my youth group. he will read the scriptures and then explain how we can use that specific one to our life, i like this because there are so many christians that try to force apon their religion and it makes so many people uncomfortable. explain to your audiance that being christian means that you understand that god saves us everyday from the sins that we do commet and that he is always there.your follow up should be very broad and indirect because if u are to direct it may come across as you preeching.

Hi Greg I was wondering if you would give some advise? i need some help to present what it means to be Christan a new way to some college student and a communications instructor and i don’t want it sound like I am preaching, but i want them to know that being a Christan is more than church and being good. can you give me some reliable sources from professors or you that i can use in this speech that I am presenting on Christianity. being a 17 year old going to college, how could i relate to the college student that is older than me who don’t know christ as their savor and how can i bring christ into the pichure with out makeit seem like i am trying to force them to believe what i believe? nd how would i fallow up on this after i have given the good news of christ?

Yes, this is a great conversation and I think there are several things to consider. Yes, homosexual sex is a sin (check out Romans 1:25-29) but lying will just as easily send you to hell. Are there different levels of sin? Yes! As a matter of fact there is something much worse than homosexual sin. Check out Ezekiel (16:49 & 50)
“Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me.”

So how do we treat the homosexual? Like you said Jesusrox24…with love, truth and grace. We share the gospel with them and once they trust in Jesus we help them to live a life pleasing to God by conquering homosexual sin through the power of the cross.

As a teenager I don’t fully grasp this, but I did do some research. The Bible clearly says homosexuality is wrong: “If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.” (Leviticus 20:13) and then in 1 Chorinthians 6:9-11. The thing is, in my opinion, the church should not be condemning these ppl, but praying and witnessing to them.I am confused tho because I used to think homosexuality was a sin just like lying or stealing. But he second verse says that it can cause u to b sent to hell! Is it really a greater sin than all the rest? Sorry to answer ur question with another one tho:)

hey i was at the blaze confrence in columbus this weekend and it was life changing.. honestly i mean it.. but i do have a question. i was talking to some kids at school about this weekend and he subject of Gay people came up. now i believe that a person is a person and that there is nothing wrong with them. but i have been asking people and some of them say that gay people are not normal people. wat do you think?
