Hey Greg,
I can understand her anger (the girl who attacked). No matter how much we want it to be, the Church isn't a perfect place, and can never fully live up to the image we all expect from it. But that doesn't stop us from putting it up there. Plus, we tend to forget that it mainly consists of broken people, sinners, and people just like us, and so when we do lift it up, it always disappoints us. And if you'll notice, a huge number of atheists and people who attack the Church today were once devoted church members.

Yeah, many tend to focus more on the religious side of Church or Christianity than the relationship with Jesus-side (which is really what Christianity is all about).

So many become casualties or so damaged by it that the thought of anything they remember from Church, doesn't always spark any angers towards Jesus, per se, but their memories of the pain they received in His church, and so their initial reaction is to put up the walls of protection and go into defense mode (put up the archers, pull up the drawbridge, light the torches, and prepare for battle).

I'll pray she finds healing in Jesus and His Church.

Greg, this has been a life changing event for the teenagers of our church that attended, when we first heard of you comming to the the area we as a staff prayed about comming and approched the leadership of our church, we tried to come up with a way to promote it to our teenagers so we purchased 10 tickets being the first year and we presented it that wanting 8 teens that wanted to step out in faith and step up as young youth leaders for our ministry, we had 8 that wanted to attend they thought that they were going to just another event, we preped them with the pre conference materials provided, and too hold each other accountable until the event, it came the day it is something to come to the city as large as Columbus, we come from a rural area: it came to the event we managed to get up front on Firday night they were total amazed with the music and the momentium that was in the conference then the cell phone challange come of texting a friend name then seeong all the names to apear on the screen, then when it came to the challenge of calling the next day they were amazed one of our teens got in contact with one of his friends that clammed to be a santinist, he walked him throught the steps and explained where we at and asked him about salvation and that day he led this person to Christ. what a blessing, then it came to the canfood drive they were total amazed going into a rear thaey had never been before the one group went to the first door the lady was reluctant at first then they told what they were doing first she said she had nothing to give then they asked to pray with her she just broke down crying to pray for her son, they did then before leaving she said wait a minute then she came back with 3 arms ful of can goods, she said she had been praying to God for help for her son she was broken and Blessed that God had answered her prayer. our youth never had done anything like this before and batteling the ice and snow they went on door to door spreading the gospel some doors was shut and then there were a few more that responded to the call. this is a event they will never forget about and we are going to try that in out in our area. We are planning to cme back next year on part of your staff at Dare2share thanks for impouring into teenagers lives of how easy it is too witness and do the Great comission. We all loved how you transisioned the video clips between the speakers and music and skits it was very well present. Our motto of our Youth Ministry is " Seeing Our Generation changed one YOUTH at a time."

greg and anybody else who is reading this,
hi umm my name is danielle and i went to the dare to share you conference the last weekend of january. i called my friend jaynee and i explained to her the gospel, but she still doesn’t believe. the reason why she doesn’t is that when she was little her and her sister got in an accident and her sister had to go to the hospital. everynight jaynee would pray by her bed that God wouldn’t let her die, but then she died. that is when she stopped believing in God. she is a pretty stuborn person and i don’t know what else to say to her. i would greatly appreciate if you had any suggestions to help me make her believe in God. if you could comment this post with suggestions i would greatly appreciate it. thank you!

Hey Greg, thats a cool story. I personally think your book VJP is one of the best witnessing tools out there, it pulls you in in an alarming way (if you read the back cover)and takes you casually through the Gospel in a manor that you may not even realize you are being witnessed to. I bought two copys, one for me, and one to give out to my friends, with a note in it asking them to read it and pass it on. I think it would be cool to get a bunch of them and just start leaving them on Starbucks coffee tables, lab counters at school, restaurants, malls, the park, and just let whoever comes by next have the opportunity to read it. making it from the perspective of the atheist was brilliant! I just started re-reading my copy a few days ago, I make films for the fun of it, and plan to major in film production at the university of Arizona when I transfer next year, reading it again Im like "wow this would be so much fun to make into a short film!" so Im toying with that idea, getting the shots and script running around in my head. If I do decide to make it into a film, I will contact D2S to get legal rights and see if you guys want it made into a film. if you guys do, I think it would be cool to make into a 5 part mini series with each part 5-10 minutes long, so it can be used as a youth group thing... ok Im rambling now. its just an amazing book. the style is amazing, you should think of writing more books in that style sometime. it just blows my mind how well you hit the nail on the head for what people would read and not just throw away... unless your that barista : ( Ill be praying, oh and Great job to the teen who gave her the book : ) keep it up guys.

=) I am Sam's Youth Director... see above comment. All I can say, is God is doing some amazing things in our teenagers. I have never seen such boldness to proclaim the gospel, and such a willingness to serve. They are pumped up, and so am I. Thanks again, for your ministry, and all that you are doing to fight for our teens.
