    An Xmas Commercial

Posted on Wednesday 16 December 2009 by Greg @ 5:30 pm

Joby Harris, a buddy of mine that I used to travel with doing my Promise Keepers preaching days, put together a fun little Calvin Klein type of commercial about Christmas, well, not exactly…you’ll get the idea. Enjoy, but be warned, it has no redeeming value whatsover…except that it made me laugh and that’s gotta count for something.

      • I wish I could see it :/ the school most likly has it blocked.. along with other random things. Glad the d2s webstite or your blog isn’t blocked… gives me something to do when I’m at school and have nothing to do. :)

I need to vent or I will lose my mind if I don’t share this… last night at the youth service, I think I realized for the first time in a while that the atmosphere is horrible. Since, we’re Christians shouldn’t we be the most loving, caring, compassionate group of people… I walked in there and I wanted to leave but I stayed :/ If I’m right, there was someone that I haven’t seen there and he looked like he really wanted someone to care enough to come and talk with him… no one did.. not even me. I don’t know if should feel bad… but I do. I almost don’t want to go to the youth service anymore… something has got to change. When PD (Pastor Dennis) was talking, it really didn’t seem like anyone got squat of what he was saying… I didn’t. I guess the reason why I go is its just something to do on a wednesday night and can’t forget going to d2s :) (that’s the best part). I’m sick ‘n tired of over hearing some of these teens at church talking about how they encouraged someone to fight someone else earlier that day or whatever…

Whenever we can get the CM going, I pray we have the vibe in the room that won’t make people uncomfortable and want to leave… I pray that whenever a new person comes in, that someone will run to the door give them THE biggest hug ever and they feel loved and welcomed. I don’t know, I’m really confused and a tad irritated by last night.. :| Greg, I think I need some help!!

Just venting. I vented earlier last night and it didn’t seem to work for me. ;| this isn’t good since I have one (well two, but I never finished my paper… the idea of presenting it and knowing me, I’d, well, I don’t think it’d turn out well..) more final to go…

I think I have lost my mind… with the help from finals and worrying for my best friend who is 16 and pregnant… I honestly, don’t think she’s ready to raise her own kid.. She said if she has a little girl, she’s naming her after me… she said my middle name will be her babies middle name. :) I feel loved about that, but, I pray that girl controls herself. She knows how I feel about it and that it hasn’t changed how I view her. ;)

        Prayin’, Katelyn!
I feel a little blah this morning, too. Let’s allow Christ to Love others THROUGH us today! No pressure or guilt at ALL when I rely fully on Jesus! HE DOES ALL THE WORK AND HE GETS ALL THE GLORY :-0
        O, and the video…not buying XMAS this year…or next…

      • Greg!!!! I tried to post this on the D2S facebook fan page and it won’t let me… I can’t post it with the phone or with this laptop. It doesn’t like me, maybe you could post it cus i can’t get it to work for me.

        ———
On the bus, I had the best conversation ever!! It was with the guy who sits behind me on the bus. The shirt I was wearing started the whole thing… it says ‘Jesus Makes Me Smile.’ And we talked a little about God and I don’t really remember all of that part..but, the guy two seats behind me, asked him “If you died right now, where would you go?” and then I was told that he said that the guy behind me is going straight to hell… don’t think he should’ve said that… so, I asked him (the guy behind me) since I didn’t hear the whole thing, “Well, if you did die right now, where would you go?”and he was like “I don’t know.” So, I asked it again.. might of refraised it or something. then I asked what he believes and he said he’s a christian, so I decided to ask “If you could have heaven with no pain, no sickness, no dying, all the friends you’ve ever had, all the food you’ve ever liked, all the physical pleasures you’ve ever enjoyed, all the natural beauties you’ve ever seen, and no human conflict, no natural disaters, could you honestly be satisfied with heaven if Jesus was not there?” I think that took him back a little cause he was like “Woah, that’s a good question. I don’t know. I’ve never thought about that..” There wasn’t really much conversation after that since we had to get off at our stop… and my best friend who stayed the night last night, texted me so I could tell her where the bus stop is, and she started walking faster and gave me a hug and said “I’ve missed you!!!” it was great.. kind of a bummer I didn’t get to finish the conversation with him because of that, but, I’ll get to again. I’m glad he lives in one of the apartment complexes… hopefully I’ll see him at like the gas station or something. :)

Katelyn, God is giving you all sorts of great opportunities like that and you are taking them! I’m very proud of you and pray that you will have an opportunity to finish that great conversation with the guy on the bus! Way to go!!!
