A scare too close to home

I just got the news that a lone gunman broke into a YWAM dormitory in Arvada, CO. He shot four people there and is still on the loose. As I type these words I don’t have any idea of the condition of those who were shot but I’m praying for them. I ask you to do the same.
What freaks me out is that this YWAM training center is on the same property of the church that runs the Christian school where my six year old goes. I’d sure feel a lot better if they caught the guy. Pray with me that they do.
Why? Because tomorrow morning I and hundreds of others of parents are supposed to drop off our kids at this same school. It’s at times like this that I have to remind myself that it is God that we must depend on to protect our children. He loves them even more than we do.
Pray with me for these victims and their families. Pray that the cops catch this culprit fast. Pray that God is glorified in spite of another tragedy in Colorado.
