So, last August I went to my first ever Christian youth conference. It was Desperation '06 at New Life Church in Colorado. That was when I was first learning about God and about myself in His sight. It taught me about who I am, who God is, and who I need to be. Then, I come home and I know all this stuff, but I don't quite know how to tell my friends and family about God. I want to, but I don't know how. Then Game Day came along. It was perfect. I think the food collecting/G.O.S.P.E.L. teaching/prayer requesting was the most inspiring thing I experienced that weekend. So far, I've kind of disappointed myself after coming home itching to reach out. But I have grown and have managed to talk to many people now that I normally wouldn't have been able to. I noticed this a few days ago, when I was talking to an agnostic friend of mine and I had very little trouble explaining to him what I believe to be true and why. I have asked him to come to my youth group, and I really, really, REALLY hope that I can help to truly accept God into his life. Thank you, Greg, for speaking to us and pouring truth into our hearts and training and training us until we were prepared to speak truth to others. I have not taken the cell phone call or 48 Hour Challenge yet, but I'll go right now and read up, see what I need to do. Thanks again, Greg. Game Day was great! --Rachel

Hi! This Dare2Share retreat was amazing! I felt the Lord as you were talking, I was like OhMyGosh!!!!!!!! When you told the pastors to get out in the aisle, and everyone was praying, I was just bawling my eyes out. I bet I wasn't the only one. The Retreat impacted me to be a good Christan. (sorry bad spelling) Greg, the day after Dare2Share, all throughout the day I was praying like crazy!!!! At the end of the day, I realized that I was changing into a different Better Person! Dude, Greg, Dare2Share was awesome, and wonderful! During Worship, we got to go in front and see Starfield in real life!! I got their picture with them! I was so excited! I been praying for my friends, ecspelly those who are in wiccan.

Dale... I don't know, man. The covers of U2 aren't a big deal. As a youth pastor, they didn't bug me at all. I think that there are bigger things to worry about than who's covering who's songs... now if they were covering GWAR or Mudvayne, then I would have agreed with you, Dale. Just a thought, bro...

let me just start off with saying that Dare 2 Share was the best confrence i have been to by far. it really hit home and got my attention. there were a lot of things said that i think not only me but a lot of teenagers needed to hear. My youth group is in the process of studying the Gospel journey and i feel like i am better aquiped to discuss things from those lessons. (by the way Greg, i do not appreciate u scaring me by taking that knife to the goat!, it did get the point across tho.) The person i called for my 48 hour challenge is someone i have been friends with for a long time and was raised by a very christian family. but she has been struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, and severe ADD that kind of has impared her judgement to do wats best. i just hate seeing her fall slowly through the cracks. i kind of gave up on her after we got in a fight a while back, but after Saturday night i realized that i should never turn my back on anyone. I have called and talked to her more and talked to her today at school, and i think i am hanging out with her sometime this weekend. from wat she is telling me i think she is really in need of something and i cant tell wat it is yet, but i am hoping ot help in any way i can. Thank you so much to everyone that made Dare 2 share possible, and i cant wait to see wat you guys have for us next fall. <>< NIKKI

OK, I'm getting kind of jealous! Our D2S isn't until March here in Phoenix. I did attend the Youth Leader Lunch at Jilian's last Thursday. I must say Greg it was just in time. I was in the discouraged mode, but you have a way of encouraging and motivating that really got me excited. It reminded me of when Paul told Timothy(I think) to stir up the gift inside of him (loose paraphrase). Thanks for being the Youth Pastor's Pastor! We couldn't do it without people like you and they seem to be few and far between, so keep it up! Looking forward to a great D2S. Oh and I started reading "Ministry Mutiny". It is wonderful. If there are any of you out there that are discouraged and you want to quit, please please read this book first!!!!
