    My Story

Posted on Monday 3 April 2006 by Greg @ 8:04 am
    Filed under: Rants

    Here’s my story:

My name is Greg. I’m a husband, a father, a preacher, an author, a twitchy revolutionary and a fanatic for Jesus.

I love my wife, my kids, my dog and my God (not in that order!)

Give me Starbuck’s coffee, wi-fi, time at the park with my kids, a movie-dinner night with my wife and I’m a happy man.

    • What makes me mad? Lukewarm Christians, bad theology and passionless churches.
    • What makes me furious? Horrible Christian drivers with stupid Christian bumper stickers
    • What makes me happy? Jesus (the real Jesus that is), Java, arenas full of teenagers and vacations with the fam

Hobbies: Movie watching, telling stories and working out just enough to not get fat and be almost semi-quasi buff.

Sports: Golfing? Tried it…no! I can’t afford the balls (lost 20 in one round…got a score of 165 and stopped counting…true story) Basketball? Football? Baseball? No. No. No. Is preaching a sport? Please say yes.

Special Talents: I can do the Napoleon Dynamite Dance, work numchucks and do a killer fake throw up (not all at the same time)

Background: I don’t come from a church going, pew sitting, hymn singing religious family. I come from a tough urban family filled with bodybuilding, tobacco chewing, beer drinking thugs and that’s just the women (my signature line!) One by one my tough, urban family members were led to Christ and transformed. The impact that Jesus had on all my uncles, aunts and cousins touched my heart so much that from the time I was elevenish I knew that I was going to be a preacher someday…tadaaa! Praise God!

Favorite Sports Team: The Denver Broncos

Least Favorite Sports Team: The Oakland Raiders

Could care less about: College basketball

Past Vocations: Hay Hauler, Roofer (eight years!), Pizza Delivery Driver (Dominos!), UPS Truck Loader (ugh!), church planter and preacher pastor

Current Vocation: President of Dare 2 Share Ministries

Favorite Movie of all time: Sergeant York (Gary Cooper, 1948, 11 Academy Awards…rent it)

Second Favorite Movie of all time: A tie between Rocky and Braveheart

Brush with greatness: One of my best friends growing up, Scott Derrickson, co-wrote and directed the movie The Exorcism of Emily Rose

Brush with stupidity: Every morning when I comb my hair

    Signed, Greg Stier

      • Okay cool I’m the first to comment I think.  Um, this is the first time I haven’t agreed with you. College B-ball is awesome! Haven’t you heard of Gonzaga? It’s alright though. I’ll still read your blog. Before I go my Dad had me watch Sergeant York with him a long time ago and I liked it, but not enough to watch it again. (Just wait he’ll find out I said that and I’ll end up watching it.) I love Braveheart, but I confess to your dissapointment and mine I have never seen Rocky. I love the music, but I have never seen Rocky. Sorry. Tlk 2 U L8r.  Signing Off, Ashley_Colville WA

      • Hey Greg. I’ve heard to talk about your family and your childhood at D2S and I don’t see how you did it! The way you explain them is so funny! I think my favorite story about your childhood was either the time ur mom hit someone w/ a baseball bat, or when you went into that pagen workshop thing! lol. I’m so thankful that my parents raised me in church! And I have to agree w/ u. I would rather scrub my toilet than watch college football! And golf is so boring…! lol…Well…guess I better go! Love ya!! Paige Couch. Manchester, GA. • Oh Greg my boy, I have to agree with John Birkhead. GO CHIEFS!!!  I do have to say the enthusiasm you preach with makes it a sport.  I guarantee our Lord and Savior and all of heaven stand and cheer when you do what you do best and that’s preach the gospel to a full house of teens and youth leaders.  And we can’t forget the fact that the devil gets knocked out cold when you preach the word of god, just like a left hook from Rocky.  ADRIANNE!!!  Keep em coming. Sorry, never watched one of those movies, LOTR, POTC, National Treasure and the old Star Wars are the best!!!! I want to thank you for doing all this Dare2Share stuff. I was greatly impacted from it and I know several others from our small church were too!!! I apologize, always have found golfing extremely boring!!! Soccer, and track rock though!!! (love track, never taken it!!! Love Soccer but stink @ it.)  I, instead take what most people find outrageously girly: ballet. But just to let you know, it’s no sissies sport, they quite pronto!!! You’re SOOOO awesome!!! Thanks for everything you have done for me and my youthgroup, and the world!!!!!!                                                                   ~Some Body~

      • Ya Ummmmm I’m pretty sure preaching needs to be a sport if it isn’t already. OK wow…true story. I was sitting on the front row in reliant arena in H-tizzown Texas, and no lie…with the wig on doing your Napoleon dance, I had no EARTHLY idea it was you. wen you took the wig off I     FAAH-REAKED!! HAHA! I had no idea you knew how 2 work numchucks, That ROX my SOX! But you know what rox more? The fact that you can use those awkwardly strange and random talents (fake barf?? hah) to glorify our incredible Lord and saving grace. I was saddened to see Dare2Share won’t be coming back to Houston, but you know what? I am happy at the thought that instead of Houston (which has been blessed with D2S for an amazing 4 years) another city will be trained to share the gospel and rock their city with their testimony. That thought gives me peace…now those of us who have been blessed with the conference are challenged to go out and minister to those who haven’t, and Greg, THAT is the true revolution, GOD is moving! I just wanted to encourage you and the D2S crew. As we say here in Texas, Ya’ll LOSERS do a pretty good ol’ job. They busted all our computers and stole our state Campion Trophey and poured paint everywhere! We haven’t seen it yet but the teachers were saying it was pretty bad; they sent us home today. • Hey,
I wanted to let you know how glad I am that you’re out there for teenagers. I went to your Denver conference for two years, and your ministry has really inspired me. While I’m not usually a very bold person, this year I was able to share Jesus’ impact on my life through an oppurtunity to select a reading (I chose a parable by the greatest author of all time, Jesus Christ) for a public speaking class. And the best part was, the sixteen people in my class all got hear the gospel! Besides that, your influence has also motivated me and my brothers and friends that came to your conference to get out and spread the gospel with other people in our communities. Thanks for your ministry, and keep up the good work!

P.S. I think the Broncos are really cool, too!

Journey.  They have found it to be engaging and challenging.  I am excited to see my youth come to a better understanding of God’s word.  I am unapoligetic in my stand for Biblical truth and the inerrancy of scripture.  Thank you for teaching core truth! I am praying for you and the ministry set before you.  May God bless you as you are reaching His children with a timeless message of truth.  May we all speak with boldness and proclaim what the nations need to hear!  God is alive and real and He longs to be in a personal relationship with His man once again. Thank you so much for all that you are doing.  May God bless you and your family! In Him, Devin

Secondly, I was wondering if you or anyone else who reads this comment post would pray for my family. We’re switching churches. This is very frusterating to me because this is the 2nd time we’ve had to switch. So please pray that we will end up in a good church.

I love the Broncos along with the rest of my fam ( you should see us on a game day.) I am so happy that I know Jesus as my God. I can’t stand any form of coffee so I will leave Starbucks to you coffee people. Love for the world and all He creates. Becca.

      • Greg, I’ve attended a D2S conference before, it was great for me and the students I took with me. I’m just a Jesus loving, Bible believing, 19 year old teen with a passion to serve Christ. I have produced (and still am producing) a Christian television show which was recently picked up for worldwide distribution and will be on TV all around the world and just want to say that if there’s anyway you can use the clips of the television show I produced, let me know. I made this show to share Christ with the lost, to help Christians grow closer to Christ, to encourage Christian teens to do great things for God, and to provide a better alternative to the garbage on TV today. I didn’t do it for money or fame. And so I just want this show to be a valuable asset to youth leaders around the globe. Thanks! I may see you again at D2S 2007 in St. Louis (and/or Seattle).  Kyle Lawrence

      • hey Greg, Collin here, I went to Dare 2 Share last year (2006) in the Twin Cities. Your speech led me to Christ. There I accepted Jesue as my personal savior. And a little tip about Golf: Keep the club head squared up with the ball and pivot your body a little every time the ball doesn’t go straight. Because I am only 12 years old and every summer I practice golfing and the instructor helps me find the right position so the ball will travel straight. And don’t feel bad because after the instructor mowed his field I was golfing in he found about 75 balls from me, and that didn’t stop me. You just have to feel it because if you don’t feel it you won’t do so great. I think preaching is kind of a sport. Well got to go, Collin

      • This was my first ever time of going to dare2share.  It was awesome, I can really see a difference in the way that i see life now, it really makes me think about the actions that I am taking in life now.  The night that we had to start our 48-hour challenge and call up our friends, my phone wouldn’t work.  So that night when my group got back in our hotel, i decided to try again.  I called my guyfriend, Alec.  He’s a Christian, and he believes in God and stuff, but I knew that he didn’t know the Lord like I felt I did that night.  I told him all about the stuff that I had learned that night.  Surprisingly, he listened.  I got a call from by best friend Vanessa the other night.  She told me that Alec had put all this stuff in his profile on aim about Jesus.  At first I didn’t believe her ’cause the Alec that I knew would never go to that level when it came to Jesus stuff.  She read it to me and it said, A kid asked Jesus, ”How much do you love me.”  Jesus replied, ”I love you this much,” and he stretched out his arms and died for us.  If you believe in this, put this in your profile, if not, ignore this and know that you have broken God’s heart.  It also said, Jesus said, ”If you are ashamed of me, then I will be ashamed of you before my father.”  NOT ASHAMED………put this in your profile.  96 percent of teens won’t stand up for Christ, if you are part of that 4 percent that will, then put this in your profile.  If you believe in Jesus Christ put this in your profile, DON’T JUST IGNORE THIS, because in the Bible it says, ”If you deny me, I will deny you in front of my father in the gates of Heaven.  As soon as she told me this I said, ”I’ll call you back, I need to talk to Alec.”  I called him and as soon as he answered I said, ”You don’t even understand how proud I am of you.”  He says, ”What are you talking about, proud of what.”  I said, ”Proud of what you put in your profile, that’s amazing, thank you so much for listening to me.  I bet you right now that God is looking down upon both of saying, ‘I’m proud of you my children, well done, well done.”  That night made me feel so incredible inside, I believe that God was really working his magic on me and Alec.  I feel that if I had just changed one life, think of what I can do in the future.  I am so blessed that my youth group leader, Jaclyn, took me that night, it really made a difference in my life.  I want to thank you, Greg, for everything that you taught me that night at the dare2share conference, I thank God everyday that I got a chance to meet you.  I don’t know what I would be doing right now, if it wasn’t for you, and everyone else at the conference.  GOD BLESS YOU…………..  ~LaUrA

      • This weekend was my first time at dare2share.  I had TONS of fun!!!  I just thought I’d share this with you because I thought you might like to hear it.  When you first told us to go to the MyStory booth I thought about it and didn’t think I had a story to share.  I didn’t think I had ever done anything special spiritually, or anything, or touched anybody.  Then, Saturday night when I heard the other kids sharing their story I thought about it again, if I had ever really done anything that I could share.  I thought back to about a year ago and remembered a time when one of my friends called me.  My friend has an interesting family.  They don’t really believe in anything, to my understanding, but she told me that she admired me for being so adimant about my faith.  She always said this because when I first moved to Ashland I had told everyone I was a Christian and asked them not to cuss and all that stuff around me.  She admired that and whenever I got the chance I would talk to her about God.  SO, she calls me this one night and she’s going through a pretty rough time in her life and she justs wants to talk.  When she gets finished venting to me I told her, "Hey, I know you don’t really believe in God, or Jesus, or anything, but I just want you to know that I’m praying for you."  At this time she just started bawling and told me THANK YOU so much!  And she said that she had appreciated that very much.       Right after I had thought about this event you gave us the cell phone challenge.  I immediately knew who to call!  I called her up and started talking to her about God and what GOSPEL means.  She said it was harder for her to have such faith because her whole life she was never raised in that kind of surroundings.  She told me she would think about it and agreed to read and think seriously about some scripture and materials if I gave it to her.       After I called that friend I called all of my other close friends.  I missed the entire SUPERCHICK concert, which is one of my FAVORITE bands, but I really didn’t care, because I got the chance to tell my friends about God.  and, about the joy and excitement I was experiencing because of Him.  I’m not sure if everyone that I called really listened to what I said, but I could tell I really got them thinking, and that definetly counts for something.  I’m just so glad you gave us that challenge because it definetly opened my eyes, talking to my friends.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!  Well, this is getting super long and I need to study for a Spanish test, so I guess that’s all.  THANKS, and God Bless ♥Jordan

I completed my 48 hour challenge today. Im on the football team and in the offseason i have been weightlifting after school everyday. I decided at St. Louis that I was going to share the Gospel with my workout partner Joel Cherry. Before weightlifting today I asked him if he knew Jesus. He moved in a couple of years ago and he hasn’t been to church since. So I shared the Gospel message with him telling him each of the letters and what they meant. By the time he was done he had a tear in his eye and he said he would really like to go back to church again. I told him God loves you and he has a plan for you and me and everyone else and that if you ever feel alone, God is there for you, so I have invited him to Rochester First Baptist Church(my church) in Rochester Illinois. He has agreed and he should be going with me this Sunday. Man I was a little nervous telling this to him but I just felt God helping me find the words and keep rollin with it. I just thank God for all he has done and just helping me with my friend. I can’t wait till next years dare2share. I hope this was pleasant for you to read Greg.

Well the youth group that I went with made a bet who could keep the band  that we had to have on to get in to the conference on the longest. And well me being me I am doing this bet and for the last couple of days that I have been home I have got so many questions on the band and I would start talking about God and all that stuff and why I had the band. I thought it is really cool way to witness and I thought you might think so too. I have got one girl to go to church with me because of this simple orange band. I would also like to thank you for speaking at St. Louis. You did a great job!!!!!!

It was fun, but cold.  And a lot of the people had read about us so they were already going to give us canned goods and stuff.  But i was so glad i got to go, even though we only had 4 people in our group, it was an awesome weekend.

Surprisingly I wasn’t nervous. Anyway, when he answered the door I started introducing ourselfes. And before I could finish he said, "I don’t care about that, just tell me what your here for." So I told him we were collecting cans for the People City Mission. He answered "I live alone, and I take my money and stuff over there." Then Lana asked, "What do you believe?" he replied "You wouldn’t want to know." But he still told us. " From when I was eight to when I was ninety I was catholic." I think Lana said something else then he said " You don’t have any business asking me about my religion. And I don’t care who the bleep sent you here, just go back to your parents or whoever your with and have a nice day." He kinda put me down, but I remembered P.U..  And even when it wasn’t my turn to talk I had so much joy. (and it wasn’t just any kind of joy) And I felt like it was overflowing within me. Better get going! Amanda from Lincoln NE

I havn’t seen him for awhile and it will be cool to see him.  He’s a rad guy!  My youth group had to leave early because of the weather so we didn’t get to go door-to-door, but dare2share was definetly still worth it this year, 4 kids from my group came to know Christ for the first time!!! But then you told us to get out our cell phones! When you told us to call a friend. I knew right away who to call! After we went out into the hall. My friend and I really started talking to my friend! We called her and got to talk to 2 of my friends! It was truly the work of God that we wanted to talk to one person and we got to talk to 2 of my friends! One of them was Catholic and the other one was Lutheren! The amazing thing was that they were so open to it!We started out by asking them. If they were to die did they know 100% where they were going! Both of them answered no! That opened up a huge discussion! They we so willing to listen to me and my friend! All four of us were crying! I got to share the gospel with 2 of my friends. They didn’t except Christ or anything but they listened! I could tell that they cared what we were talking about! It was one of the best feelings in the world being able to share the gospel with 2 of my friends! I praise the Lord for opening their hearts to discussing! Even though Superchick was canceled and the weather cut dare2share short! I got to share the gospel with 2 of my close friends!

      • Hey man, this was my first year at D2S.  I went to the Lincoln one and it was pretty stellar as I must say.  Go! Fight! Win! yeah i like it…and man you are doing great things for the kingdom of God.  I pray that you and your family will be blessed beyond measure in every area of your life.  Also a saying my grandpa used to say is "Grab your guts and go"  and it’s true because if we as "christians" just grab our guts and go then we’ll tell people about Jesus but if we hesitate to think about what’s happening and fear builds within us then the oppurtunities pass us by.  Hey man be sure to check out www.freewebs.com/crossrockfest and contact us because we would love to have you come and share the true message of Jesus Christ at this festival.  Also we were there on Sunday morning at the church where you spoke and my 2 friends said they saw you in the bathroom.  They were the ones who had to change due to the other regurgitating on both of them due to one of them squeezing the other.  Well man,  for real check out the site and get in contact with Cross Rock Ministries because we would be honored for you to come and tell these kids in this area about Jesus Christ. God Bless Josh

But I still wanted to take the 48 hour Challenge. I emailed one of my best friends talking to her about the GOSPEL and told her the God sent his only son to die for our sins and that he wants us to be in Heaven with Him when we die. I haven’t gotten a response yet but let me tell you something, it was exciting even though I didn’t get to do it face to face. God is so awesome and I’m looking forward to getting into a closer relationship with him!! Thanks for your help this weekend,Greg!!

      • Hello Greg,
I was a youth leader at the Dare-2-Share conference this past weekend in Phoenix. It was an amazing experience for me and our youth group kids. One of our youth boys made a decision to service God and committed his life to christ and another committed to God that he would begin to evaluate his life better, MUSIC, WORDS, all…it was awsome. Well I wanted to write you to ask a question. On the last night of the conference, Saturday, you had us all pull out our cell phones and call our friend whom wasn’t a believer, well I called my friend and wow was it hard and great and amazing and the same time. I did what you said and told her “I am calling from this conference and wanted to ask a question, Do you know if you would go to heven when you die?” Well she didn’t know. So I asked her what she does believe. She began to tell me that she believes in a heaven but not a hell, she also said she does believe there is a suppreme being but that all can go to heven. Then our conversation got deeper and she started saying that she believes in reincarnation, she used to be Egyptian, and she loves cats (their idol). So I got a little confused and asked what she meant, does she believe in a cat as a god, or a supreme God. She did say she believed in a suppreme God…then I asked if I could explain my beliefs and I started to just summarize my beliefs and why I believe them, well she wanted proof that the bible is true and what it says is true…she wanted the proof of what I believe and why I believe it and I really didn’t know what to say. I told her I would find the facts, find those details and let her know, but I told her that I believe what I believe because I have faith. Well anyways, I didn’t know what to say to her by the end, except that I would find out and let her know. She said that she doesn’t want be to push my beliefs on her because she won’t change what she believes. I know I did what God wanted me to by telling her about my faith and listening to what she believed but I really didn’t have much to support what I believed. How do I deal with a situation like that? How do I explain more successfully my faith? It was a tough thing to do but definately the right one…thank you for a great weekend. God Bless you and your family.

Well once again i called her and left a message saying, "hey court, I’m at this concert and i keep thinking about the times you’ve asked for help and learning about God well back then i was not quite prepared to answer such questions but now i am ready to answer any of those questions you may have and if i am can not answer them right away, I will find out the answer. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m ready to teach the truth I’m ready to see you at heavens gates with me." She never even mentioned that message and now she barley talks to me. What should i do? Question Confused Confused

In fact I am suposse to be working on the last lesson now. I decided to check out your website and read what others have thought about the Journey. I haven’t seen any comments yet. I am technologically challenged so it may be here and I just have not found it yet. Anyways, I was with our youth the last time you were here in the Twin Cities I really enjoyed the whole conference it really showed me a great need and how we need to reach out to the teens and teach them to share their faith. Back to the Gospel Journey, I have been praying for those in the DVD series especially Andy and Ashley they have really touched my heart and I pray for their eyes and their hearts to be opened to the truth. Do you keep in touch with them all of them? Do you have updates you can share about any of them? Did Stephen find a church home? That was totally awesome to see the tranformation in him during the series. How "cool" is our God?! I am looking forward to using this series many times to impact and reach as many as we can with the Truth of OUr Lord and Savior. Thanks for creating the right tool for our ministry to use. Also haven’t finished it yet but "Minisrty Mutiny" great book. Thanks for your dedication and desire to serve. Marcy

P.S. Tell your wife and family thank you for letting you go on conferences.  All of your time spent away from home are affecting lives and leading to revolutions all over the world.  Great job!!! • Praise the Lord for Dare2Share and the way the Father used you to bless and equip so many! One of my 15 yr old football (6′2 "tough Dude")guys who we all thought was a Christian had prayed yrs ago, seen change but he still made some bad choices since.  At the Pastor/tell them (when we stood up) time he came to me with 4 of my 6 students,  he held back till last then looked into my eyes and started crying, I asked him why and he said he had prayed before but it was mostly just a prayer, you see the drama had told him he better be sold out for God not just posing! (Good job D2S!)  Well he just kept crying, I hugged him and he just held on.  He asked through his tears how long does this last (his tears) for you see he is a tuff guy in his "image".  I wiped my tears and told him I was so proud of him and he grabbed me again in a full celebration hug.  When I happened to look back at the youth kids and leaders I could have just died laughing they all had their mouths handing open like baby birds looking for food, what joyful shock!  This youth during the conference and yesterday at church told anyone who will listen that he gave his heart fully to Jesus and how he feels "free"!!!Praise the Lord!  Just so you know this is not like him. Your obedience to Gods calling has not just touch his life but also mine.  I have been a youth pastor for about 15 years and was feeling "boxed" and stale.  (I have devoured Ministry Mutiny almost read the whole book in 2 days) I have a great bunch of youth to work with but…  I  had prayed Lord I need your help they wont go deeper. I felt like I was digging with a hand spade in blacktop.  AHHHH ! So we came to the conference for the 2nd year on scholarships and a prayer….. Oh Yeah God is sooooo faithful I could have done cartwheels ….I was sitting in the pastors meeting trying to not look like I needed a major nap and I got the "blam" in the back of my head, GO WIDE Kit E-TEAMS yep here we go! I had tried some e-team stuff but didn’t get it till now. Praise and glory to God and thanks to you all at D2S I am very pumped!  I still need a major nap, cuz now I am too excited to sleep! Whooho.  Thanks guys your the best! Pastor Stacy  **Just to follow up we had youth church last night and started GO WIDE…we had 19 youth show up (that’s good we are a small country church) and 8 prayed for Jesus (1 was a recommit) all the others were first timers PRAISE THE LORD! When I explained E-Teams and ask who was willing to step UP we had 10 come forward WOW! We are on fire and off running! Just so you know we weren’t going to be able to go this year because of $,  Scotty Clark helped us hook up with tickets,  we ended up buying some more and we have been rejuvenated!!!  Thanks for obeying the call

However, I have been asked the question, How do I know that christianity is the one true religion, and not Judaism, since Jesus was a Jew? How do I answer that question?

      • Dear Greg, I wanted to say that you have truly impacted my life.  I’m fourteen years old and went to my first D2S conference in March, in Atlanta.  Often in a church setting, it can be hard to grasp the concept of what they’re trying to teach and you broke it down and made it clear in an amazing way.  There were literally goosebumps on me and I could feel the presence of God and Jesus more so than I ever had before.  Glory be to God!  A few weeks after attending, our youth group’s small group watched The Gospel Journey over the next six weeks.  That also helped my spiritual growth a lot.  The way you responded to questions was amazing, and your tolerance with them was great.  After listening to what you have to say, I’m finding myself better prepared to go out and tell not only my friens but also strangers the gift that the Lord has for them. God Bless you and your family! Love, Shelby: )

      • Hey Greg,
I attended the Game Day conference in St Louis for the first time last year and will be bringing my family again this year to Survive. We belong to a small country Church in Missouri, and our youth group is very small. My kids make up a large protion of it. I am not a youth leader but am a chaperone. Our Preacher is also our youth leader and youth Sunday School teacher. I know it has to be hard on him for he has 2 small children, like you and being a full time Preacher. So I, like another mother, try to help when I can.
Anyway, I wanted you to know that Gameday was not only good for my kids but for my husband and I as well. It really made us stop and think. You have put so much excitement in our lives. We can’t wait for the Survive conference.
At the youth meeting in St.Louis on the 27th of Sept. let just say you hit the nail on the head. You see, my husband has recently started a new business with his brother and he leaves to make over the road trips. He was supposed to attend the conference with me and I was really upset that being able to control his schedule when he leaves that he scheduled himself to leave the same day as the conference, after telling me he would attend with me so that I would not have to go it alone. My biggest fear was that you were going to have us pick a person and witness to them like last year, and I feel more comfortable when someone I am close to is there with me.
We got into an argument that morning and I told him that i feel like he is leaving me out of his consideration. Not thinking of me first over his work. It has really been hard on both of us and our 5 children. But then you told us about the argument (fight) with your wife on the way to Bible Study. This made me stop and think. I am not the only one out there in this kind of situation. My husband is thinking of us for he is trying to provide for us.
I just want to let you know to keep the stories coming for they are very inspiring and that God has put you in those situations to show us we are not alone. God led me there by myself for a reason. I feel to probably make me grow in him. For as a child of God, I can do anything through him. I just sometimes forget that.
I would also ask that you pray not only for my family but for our youth. You see they have not been able to attend the conference due to basketball games. Every year, that Friday always falls on a Conference game and they feel that they have to be there for that and we have some band members that have to be there as well if it is a home game or their band grade will be deducted a letter grade if they do not attend. Pray for God to help us to install in them what their priorities are and to help us know the right way to lead them.
God has blessed us by introducing us to you. So please keep up the faith, and keep those stories coming. Thank you for the inspiration and the encouragment to keep going (growing). May God bless and keep you and your family!

      • Marketing Christianity to teenagers who are already neck-deep in an advertisement-driven world doesn’t make sense anymore. Teens are practically immune to gimmicks, have no patience for older people trying to look cool, and have been the target of so many ad campaigns they can smell a sales pitch from 10 miles away. I know you mean well, but when kids are manipulated into feeling something they haven’t thought through, they always feel ashamed afterwards. You told my church that you convinced an auditorium full of kids to call their un-saved friends on-the-spot, and that many of them cried, had emotional responses, and ‘begged’ their friends to know Christ. The fallout from the rejection of their peers in the following weeks may well have turned-off half the believers in that auditorium from Christianity altogether. Kids are impressionable, and vulnerable. Don’t take advantage. You should ask God to do that work. Your job should be to represent Christ to them, not try to sell the get-rich-quick approach to being a believer.

      • Hey “Name” you should go to a Dare 2 Share conference before you judge it too harshly. Fallout from being rejected for evangelism is part and parcel of the Christian life. I’ve dealt with it my whole life and deal with it even today. If you take a look at the book of Acts so did every early believer, rejected by friends, neighbors, martyred for their faith. My goal is that these teenagers engage their friends in love with the message that can save their souls from hell. If they get rejected because of not bringing it up in love that’s one thing but if it’s because they shared Jesus and got persecuted for it that’s a whole different animal.

It’s easy to judge from a distance isn’t it?

Hey man. I, like you, love Jesus and agree that preaching is a sport (especially to teens). I just wanted you to know what an impact you have… not only on teens, but all who attend Dare2Share. My son, Matthew, attended for the first time this last year. He was 8 years old when he wrote this paper:

        A Change of Heart
        By: Matthew Quillman

Have you ever been at a place in your life where you thought your life was just great and perfect, but then something wonderful happened to you and when you reflected on your life before this “wonderful happening event”, you realized that the life that you thought was just great and perfect was not that great and perfect after all? Well, I’ve probably confused you by now with what I just said, so let me explain my story.
My dad is a youth pastor and has been for a long time. He has been to a lot of youth conferences but has never took me even though I always wanted to go. Then, we moved from Oklahoma to Kentucky and my dad decided it was time to finally take the whole family on a youth conference in Georgia called D2S, which stands for Dare 2 Share. I was excited about going because I was going to be able to see Super Chick, a Christian band, in real life. And it had nothing to do with Super Chick.
It was the last day of the D2S conference, and I was already satisfied. I had seen the band I had come to see. We were at the last event of the day and I was ready to get home. I had had enough of the peach state. As I was sitting there in the chair listening to a man give his testimony, I was wishing we could hurry and leave so I could buy one of those rubber bracelets that Lance Armstrong popularized with the “live strong” motto. These bracelets were red with the same “live strong” motto, but they also had Dare 2 Share embedded in them. I had my own money and that is all I wanted. I knew time was getting closer to leaving because they began giving instructions on how to give your offering. We were instructed to place our money in an envelope, seal it, and write our name and the amount of our offering on the outside. Previously, my thoughts were all about using my money to buy a bracelet. My thoughts changed.
The person giving the testimony had told that the offering would pay for other people to come to these conferences if they didn’t have enough money to come on their own. This conference meant a lot to me and I remembered when dad used to go without me. I thought about how some people are not saved and about how they might come to Christ by being at this conference. Then I started thinking that maybe I should give my money. But if I gave my money, I wouldn’t be able to buy that bracelet. I was torn and didn’t know what to do, “would my little amount of money make a difference anyway?” I asked myself. Then, without any doubt, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to buy the bracelet, but I GAVE EVERY CENT I HAD IN MY POCKET. I can’t explain it, but it felt good.
On the ride home that evening; from Atlanta, Georgia, I was reflecting on my life. I had always thought that my life was great and perfect, but now I realized that it hadn’t been. Because of me following what God put in my heart, to give ALL of my money – not part of it but ALL of it, God changed my heart. I have experienced a completeness since the very moment I chose to help a person over a bracelet. I just goes to show that God uses ordinary people like me to lead others to him.

Isn’t God great. I found this paper in the trash one day after school. I had no idea this had even happened until then. Keep up the great work for God man.

        Mickeal Quillman

I was a junior in high school your conference really changed my entire perspective on what ministry and witnessing was all about. So last year myself and the youth pastor from my church decided to go to the conference in Lincoln. We connectedc with my old youth group and attended with them. WOW!!! Because Superchic was unable to attend we went to the youth pastor’s house. We started to go around and talk about the conference nad who we would be praying, pursuing, and persuading. one of the other youth leaders said, “we should each pray for the person we are thinking of. The power of God fell in that living room like i have only experienced a few other times in my life. our youth group was small and only a couple of years old. this was the first time we ever had this kind of encounter with God.

i was at the dare 2 share in columbus and it were amazing.this was the first time i had ever gone. i have grown up in a christian home my whole life and in the past i have givin my life to christ. even though i have done that i never do a good job of living my faith out at school AT ALL! i usually get sucked into trying to be cool and gossip and all that.=[ at dare 2 share i made a commitment to start sharing my faith at school. i got to school on monday all excited to share my faith then once i started sharing i realized how hard it was and got easily descorage (i got a bunch of weird looks and stuff). then today on the bus i was listening to my ipod when randomly this song by Hannah Montana came on called “Make Some Noise” and the lyrics really felt like they were desrcibing the situaion i was in. i tried even harder to share my faith today and i got about the same reactions as last time except this time i did not get descoraged and i am going to keep sharing my faith in gods timing.

      • Hey Greg!!! I was at Dare 2 Share in Columbus and I would like to share with you an experience that will always be special to me. When you challenged us to go door to door and collect cans for the Salvation Army, I went to a door where there was a man who makes me think of him everyday, I have been praying for him ever since. I asked him if he knew for sure if he was going to heaven and he replied by saying noone knows for sure, its impossible to know for sure. So I said well if I could tell you for sure that your going to go to heaven, would you be interested, and he said no thankyou. When we were leaving I happened to glance back and noticed that he was looking at me as if he was thinking bout what I said. This really touched my heart, and hopefully one day I will see him in heaven! I thought you would enjoy hearing this! And I wanted to let you know I have been to Persecution University!! :) God Bless, Maddie

        HELLO GREG.
i’ve been sitting at things like this my whole life. and i’ve never been so in love and on fire for GOD. sharing the message with that girl off the street. showed me something. God wants me. he’s using me . i just don’t know how yet.
the thing is i went to her door i asked her the first question and she was like sure hang on . so i waited for like ever!!! then she came back. i got to the second question shaking as hard as i ever had. and i asked it “ma’am if you were to die to day would you go to heaven?” and she said “i’ve never thought about it before. i think i’m going to Hell …. i haven’t repented yet like i should” and i said ” it’ll only take 2 mins are you interested?” and she said ” I DON’T WANNA GO TO HELL GET ME SAVED!! ” so i did the gospel thing and i prayed with her and Greg she accepted CHRIST. thankyou for impacting me . GOD BLESS

So the next day when we were doing the phone challenged i called my father he was always the guy who didnt drink or smoked but he would yell at me daily for no reason because of his temper so i called him and told him how i acccepted christ and how he could too so that day my father and my mother accepted christ into there life .My brother was always the guy who went to youth group and he is gonna become a minster next fall so he didnt need to be changed but he got us into a great church. This all happend in ONE weekend im sooooooooo happy and thankful that i went to dare 2 share this year
Thank you greg sooo much and i am gonna live for christ cause i think my whole family will be closer

      • Hey! I’m Bethany. This weekend was so….life-changing. I am amazed. I came as a christian, but on the first night when you asked if we would be all in I felt the strongest urge to do so, than I ever have before. I was crying and I told my youth pastor ” I know that things are going to get really hard, in the future. But I wanna be in. All the way.” It was probably THE most amazing thing I have ever done.
My younger sister accepted Christ that night. I was so…joyful. Greg. Your words over this amazing weekend have truly impacted my life and I plan to make a better person of myself, but I know I will need prayer. You can’t go through it alone. You have to have support and people who care.
I hope I get to come back next year. Dare 2 Share is something I would reccommend for believers and non-believers alike.
Thank you Greg sooooooooo much, and I pray that God blesses you and your family greatly for all the people you have helped and inspired and lead to Christ.

It is going to kind of recap what we did at Dare 2 Share and some other things like that. I sent him an email asking him if he would like to go. He said that he knew god but he didn’t know if he was going to heaven or hell. At the end i asked him if he was willing to put his trust in Jesus as his only hope to going to heaven and he said Yes. I felt pretty good after that then i asked if he goes to church right now and i think that might have been a bad idea. Do you think that i shouldn’t have asked him that??

I had gone to the Phoenix event. during the lunch time me, my youth leader, and a couple of friends went to go and give free pizza to some of the local homeless people. while we where giving them the food we told them about the gospel and we prayed over them. It was an amazing to see them listen and tell us there stories.
Also for the double dare i talked to one of my friends. i have known him for the past four years. Ever since i have became a christian i have wanted to share my faith with him but i couldnt find anything that would work. after the Dare2Share event i called him up and we just talked for awhile about what he has been doing. Then finally i got the opertunity to ask him if he wanted to attend a youth group event. he said that he would like to go and so now he is going to hopefully start coming to youth group at my church.

Also I can email you a newsletter Kevin Barnett sent out in December and includes information on himself, his upcoming CD, and ministries he sponsors or receives sponsorship. One of the good drawls to bringing Kevin Barnett to your area is that once you make the deposit, you can choose to have a Love Offering at your concert during it to help pay for it instead of paying for it all yourself. Just a little information is that the total price of the deposit and the final payment does not include travel, housing and food. If you have any questions you may contact me at 864-426-8862. • Okay, i’m just going to use my name. My name’s Jasmin Gonzalez and I went to dare 2 Share Feb. 22 and 23. I wasn’t the only one on this trip because our whole youth group at my church came. Now, I became a christian before I was ten, but I have drifted away from him time and time again, and I didn’t really realize it until the 22. When they performed that skit, it revived the holy spirit in me and I was shaking with guilt at the end of it. When we were asked who wanted to be saved or to return to God, I raised my hand as tears basically poured from my eyes.
Now, what I am trying to do is the double dare with my closest friend because I know she is hurting and I want to help.
        Wish me luck!

      • Dear Greg,
My story had been going for a while now, but it stopped today, the day i got back from D2S. I, in the past, had sent out prayer requests to the prayer warriors at my church asking them to pray for my best friend Amanda. She had been into drugs, alcohol, and shop lifting. But none of that mattered to me because all I wanted was for her to be Christian. Well, months went by and Amanda said to me on the phone on day that she was thinking about coming back to Christ, because she was a former Christian. I was so happy that when i got off the phone i cried and called my Christian friend holly, we both cried even though holly had only seen Amanda once. I kept praying and kept sending in prayer requests for Amanda………then we stopped talking to each other for a while because school was so heck’tick. Then, i went to d2s, Amanda had said one week earlier that her brother was doing things that put his wife down and i prayed harder for her, when you gave us the cell phone challenge Amanda was the one thing on my mind, i grabed the closest cell phone i could and, with a sick feeling butterfliy stomach, i called amanda. But, i forgot her number, i tried everything it was no good. i felt like crying my heart out. wondering why god wouldnt let me get a holed of her. Well, long story short, haha, man, i came home today from church and picked up the phone and called Amanda….she picked up and i read the script to her…only i let her talk after i said the first section, then i dicided that if God was going to have me show him to her i was going to do it now, and i did, i said “Amanda what do you feel about being Christian again?” She said “O my gosh, I am Christian , I turned about 2 months ago. I didn’t tell you?” haha no amanda you didn’t. But all i could think of was, “she’s not going to hell God. Thank you so much.” I cried in my heart. All the prayer requests and faith had worked, God answered my prayers, and i think that if i had gotten a hold of Amanda on saturday, i would had listened so intently to the rest of the presentaion, i think God decided to work in me in such a way, that i didn’t know it until it was all said and done, now i have so much drive to go talk to all my friends at school, one by one by one until they all know God as their savior. He works mericals. I wasn’t put into amandas life to be here best friend, i was put there so she could be Gods best friend. And that makes me laugh. You helped me overcome that scariness of sharing my faith. There will be more of these if God works in and through me.

        Count on it,
        Nichole.

I’m a youth worker at a small church in southeast Missouri and after the St. Louis Survive conferece we began going through the Gospel Journey. The youth have really gotten into it and, I think, are pretty pumped about doing the 2nd round with a friend. Tonight we did Session 8 where you talk about the “how to’s” and next week we’ll start Session 1 on the 2nd round. I just wanted you to know that after the meeting tonight one of our guys came up to us and said he wanted to talk to us about believing. We talked with him, shared scripture with him, and prayed with him and he affirmed his faith in Jesus as his Savior/Lord. He had only been able to be present for the “P” segment of the Gospel Journey but God used that segment to help draw Richard to Himself. I just wanted you to know so that you’d be encouraged and also to let you know that I (we) really appreciate the way God is using you to help us without you even knowing. Thanks. Your Brother–Tim.

      • Hey Mr. Stier,
I’ve gone to every D2S conference since about 5 years ago. I’ve got to say that Dare 2 Share has changed my life. After this past November’s conference in Denver, I really thought about how great it would be if I got involved in some way with Dare 2 Share when I am finnished with school. I always think about what oppertunities I could have with working with amazing christians while doing what I love. God has done miraculous things in my life. When I was 2 years old, I was in a car accident. I ran onto the highway and a car hit me while going 20 miles per hour. With the power of prayer and faith, I was healed and now I feel that God’s plan for me is starting to unfold by sharing what He has done in my life. I am 17 now and I hear God calling me to share his love to everybody. I am involved with Little Log Youth Group and I became somewhat of a leader a year ago. Dave Schwank is my youth leader and he is part of the reason why I am so deep in my faith. I hope that one day I could work with the Dare 2 Share team and follow God’s plan.

      • Hi greg,
I went to the Dare2Share conference in Chicago this year. Wow, it sure changed my life. I was in a desert, and for some very odd reason I prayed and prayed, but at the same time god seemed so far away from me. Somewhere during the praising god, the skits and your stories it seemed like Jesus had come back into my life. Ever since then I have been so motivated. I’m sharing Jesus with everyone I can. I had been depressed for a long time. In fact, I had been depressed that I couldn’t remember a time when I had felt good about my weight or appearances. The conference gave me true joy and I could feel the love of Jesus. I’ve been so close to Jesus ever since. I’ve been praying all the time and reading the bible. Thank you so much for making this conference possible!

        This is my testimony:
My family moved to a small town in South Dakota called Brookings, when I was about 4 years old. We didn’t have any friends or relatives there. My dad decided to go back to school and my mom didn’t work so we were dead poor. I have no idea how we survived. We lived in a tiny moldy apartment. It happened to be right next to a small church. We were invited to a potluck at the church. The people there were so kind and loving. They made us feel at home right away. They encouraged us to go back. They always had toys for me to play with. They gave me clothes and they gave my parents pots and other things they couldn’t afford. My parents grew to be great friends with the people at that church. We started going to church every Sunday. I was only a little over 4 so I didn’t really understand why these people were so nice. I just knew they were kinda and always gave me yummy food and pretty clothes. I learned about Jesus, but I found it very hard to fathom. I was invited to youth group where I was taught more about him. I thought he sounded awesome but I felt guilty and I thought I didn’t deserve him because I was a naughty little girl back then. Soon, my parents were baptized and they encouraged me to love god. In second grade I moved to Iowa, and at church they taught us about hell. I had never heard about hell before because in South Dakota we were only taught the wonderful things about heaven. I was so scared because I realized my parents would be in heaven and I would go to hell unless I repented my sins. It was then when I realized Jesus Christ loved me so much he died on the cross for me. I was very in love with Jesus. He transformed my life, I changed from the naughty little girl who called the police as a joke to the nice little girl who picked flowers for her mother. Jesus has performed so many miracles in my life. I used to have bloody noses all the time and they would last for hours because I had a very low white blood cell count. One night my nose suddenly started bleeding at around 7 at night. It bled the whole night and at 4 in the morning I was taken to the emergency room. There were many people there that night so I didn’t see the doctor until about 5 and right when the doctor came in my nose stopped bleeding.I lost so much blood that night, it came gushing out. I could’ve died if I bled for a little while longer. After that I was so thankful I was alive. God is so gracious. I’ve had my ups and downs with god, in 6th grade my mom started working and my dad got a job so we had alot more money and I became involoved with materialism. Dare2Share helped me get out of that. It taught me I should store up my treasure in heaven, and where my treasure is my heart is also.
Once again, thank you so much!

I need you to go way way back many years ago. You were a 16 year old kid going to Arvada Christian and Ranch. Even then, you were on fire for the Lord. You use to pick up a little girl for Ranch every week. Her name was Dawn Paetzel and sometimes her sister Heidi. Well, after all of this, this is Dawn’s mother Alice.
I am so proud to say I knew you when. LOL
Anyway, besides to tell you we are praying for you, I have a problem for you. I belong to a small church in Butte, MT.(pronounced like the mountain). This is a mining town from way back with a population of about 35,000. Poor economy, not much to recommend it, but lots of souls to reach, and especially kids. Lots of drugs. We need at our church a youth pastor/director. We can’t offer a large salary. Cost of living in Butte is cheaper than Denver, but not cheap. Cold winters, forest fires in summer. Get the picture. Do you know of anyone that would be willing to give it all up to move to Butte to minister to our youth?

Greg, I am praying for you, your family and Dare 2 Share. God bless you. I hope you get this directly.

My name is Point5, I am a christian rap artist. I gave my life to Jesus Christ on June 16th 2006 and ever since then I have been dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with youth and adults alike. God’s ministry through me is so blessed and powerful that I have seen over 1000 souls come to know our Savior at one of our events. I have a testimony that the youth can relate to and a message that motivates youth to become bold, fanatical christians. I have been told time and time again that there is an annointing on what I do unlike anything in my genre. I just want to say that I have attended the last 2 years of Dare 2 share St. Louis, and I would like you to hear what God has done through me. I have become a clear and concise speaker and minister of the word and I know you would love every bit of my music. I would like to meet you face to face. please take a moment out to visit www.point5online.com and hear some of the music God has given me. Also there is more information on my myspace, www.myspace.com/point5five and I also have a blog that I use to continue ministry on days when I am not performing. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. Peace and blessings. Terrance aka Point5

I remember reading in the D2S handbook you wrote that your wife is a school teacher for public schools and she has led some of her students to Christ. Being a teacher for the public school system, I was wondering how she was able to do this. I feel as though it is very difficult to talk to students about God given the restrictions that are placed on teachers in public schools. Any advice?

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for putting the D2S Uncensored online as a podcast! I have them downloaded and… I CANT STOP! I have listened to 6 of them just today! Can I tell you something?! YOU ARE MOVING MOUNTAINS! I was speaking with an old friend today and learned that my church when I was a teen is floundering. We would have 150 youth on a slow night, they might have 150 total (adults and youth) on a good night now. I’ve been praying for them, then found your podcasts… then… found out the Army has a position for my husband open in my home town, which could potentially open the door for me to help them rebuild and recharge and reach out to the community the way they did when I was a teen (no, we won’t discuss how long ago that was!). THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for making this extremly valuable information available. Sadly, this is something that after two thousand years SHOULD be obvious (evangelism AND discipleship) but its not and I am praising God that I was led to find your podcasts! Keep up the good work!

BTW, there is also a chance we could end up near you muwahahaha *cough* I mean umm…. yea. We’ll see where the Lord (and Uncle Sam) sends us next. Wherever it is, I’m already expecting HUGE things to happen. I’m already planning on unleashing this on my church here!

I have sadly not had a chance to Shred The Gnar yet, but I will, I just need to beat Satan. I want to start with my parents so I can be sure to see them in heaven, and then concentrate on friends.

I do have an amazing story for you. When you suggested the cell phone challenge, I immediately thought of my friend McKenzie, but was terrified to speak to him regarding my faith. As you prayed for us and told us to start dialing, I only sat there shaking from terror, and could feel Satan holding me back. But when you said “Amen”, my phone started to ring, and it was McKenzie. God had called him for me. How incredible, that was my calling from God. I started to cry as I could feel God putting his hand on my shoulder.
Thank you so much for everything you, Zane, and Derwin have done for me last weekend. I am prepared to put on the suit of armor and go out into the world and start changing people’s lives!

I wanted to let you know that today I had the opportunity to shred the gnar with my whole history class. I went to the Dare2Share conference in DC this year. It was my fourth year. But this year it spoke to me more than others because I switched to a public school this year. I’m a sophomore and my history class we had a debate about religion and God and all that. I got to tell the whole class what exactly I believe, and some people were mad. But it didn’t matter, because I had nothing to lose. Some people were mad at Jesus, I don’t care if people are mad at me. They tried to get me to mess up by asking me all these questions, but I’ve been memorizing verses and I knew exactly what to say. Just pray that I’ll be able to continue to whitness to all these people in my class. I’d really appreciate it.

Daniel is like his best friend but when he trys to get Logan to come back to church Logan blows him off. We just need prayer right now to be strong enough to get Logan back. i went to D2S in Columbus Ohio but Daniel wasnt able to. Please please pray for us and him.

      • Hi my names Shania, I was at the Dare 2 Share convention on January 30-31. It was my first time and i was really excited. When I got there I was amazed on how many people were there. I loved your story but i have to disagree with the football team. THE STEELERS ROCK!!!! I just want to say thankyou. your testimonies helped me a lot. I had so many questions about life after death and wondering if God was really real. It was really scary to me. It would really distract me in school and during other stuff. But then I found out that it was satan trying to get me to not trust god as much. But now that i found that out im not afraid anymore and im oing to SHRED THE GNAR so i can see all of my friends in heaven. I think god made a big difference in my life. THANKYOU SO MUCH!!! =)

I went to a lunch to hear about D2S last summer and you quoted someone as saying something along the lines of “satan attacks those who do the most to advance against his kingdom.” not 100% sure if that’s right, but was wondering who it was that said it and what the quote is. You can email me at youth@pinestreetbc.org, while you’re at it..browse the website..pinestreetbc.org. Thanks man, can’t way for March 27-28…STL baby, yeah!!!

This is actually weirdly the kid who asked you your shoe size after the conference Saturday. I was kind of on a spirtual high and my sanity which is usually absent was also missing at that moment. i didnt have the time to say all that i wanted, but i spose thats the way things go when you have nearly 7000 screamin’ nebraskans all bunched togther jammin’ and worshiping to Leland. But hey i just wanted to say that the conference was awsome and that the skits and every thing were well put together. i think you have the most awsome job on the planet, and doing what you do is how i would love to serve god. so just keep up the good work and may god continue to speak thru you. thank you and god bless.

P.S. the movie clip choices were awsome!

      • Hey Greg!

I’m 14 years old and I attended the Dare 2 Share conference in Atlanta, Georgia this year. It was totally amazing and I could really feel God. I just wanted to quickly tell you how much this changed me. You see in June of 2008, my best friend in the whole world died of cancer. It was extremely hard on me. I didn’t know why i was being put in that situation. I eventually began cutting and became addicted. Before I knew it I was ready to kill myself. Then God did something amazing. He sent a kid at my school to ask me how I was. I just broke down and started telling the kid everything. He told me that he used to want to end it too. He hated his life. He said that he never wanted anything to happen to me…EVER. I struggled with it still, despite the peace i felt when i knew I wasn’t alone. I still cut and it was tearing me apart. Finally I felt God telling me to tell my parents. I told my mom. She started crying so hard. She eventually started sending me to counseling. I hated it. My youth pastor made things easier to understand though. Months went by and I hadn’t cut. Finally on January 18, 2009 I renewed my salvation in my Lord. My best friend was on fire for God every moment of every day. I remember asking myself why he was so insane for Jesus. Then I went to the D2S conference and it finally made sense. Fighting for God was what my best friend lived for. He loved every second of his short 14 years. I wish I hadn’t done the things that I had done. But now I know that my scars can prevent someone else from getting the same scars. What you guys do at D2S is amazing! I’m praying that God continues to work in your life.

      • Hey Greg! Just finished ‘Venti Jesus Please’ while on spring break. It was great! I’m hoping I can let some of my friends read it, who don’t know Jesus. Also, I just asked my Youth Pastor today if we could take on the ’skit’ in the book - the one that Nick’s youth group did - and maybe we could preform it on a Sunday for ‘big church’. It’s something I think is pretty relevent - of course - but the ‘Bucks analogy is great. :D Of course, since I’m the one that asked, I’m pretty much in charge of it! Ha ha, pray for me on that. :P

Really love the stuff you do at Dare2Share - my youth group and I just went about a month ago, at the Phoenix event. This year was my second year, and I loved it. (Although my voice box didn’t love me afterward!)

        Thank you so much!

        - Rose

(P.S. Have you seen ‘Knowing’ yet? Wow! Knock me over with a feather!)

      • I just attended Dare2Share, Invincible. I was so moved. It really opened my eyes. The skit really affected me too, and when whoever was speaking at the time, I think it was Greg, said “We say, ‘no no, our friend would never commit suicide.” It hit me like a ton of bricks. I started bawling like a baby. God really worked in me that weekend. But then next day after the conference, today actually, something happened. I was hanging out up at my church because I had no where else to go and my friends and I were playing hide and go seek. (Yeah, we’re that cool. :] Living life to the fullest John 10:10) Anyway, I got very sick in a short time. I my head was on fire and about to explode, my body was so cold I was shivering and shaking and I was just laying on the floor. I had a thought that because I was so moved and praising God and he affected my life, I thought that maybe the devil or a demon was working on me to make me sick. So in my head I said, get out of my body. (I had been sick for a couple hours and people can testify to this) Then I was thought ‘ if we have the faith of a mustard seed, we can move mountains.’ So with all the faith that I had in my body, I said, out loud: “In the name of Jesus Christ my savior, get out of my body!” And I was perfectly fine. I got up and started walking around like normal. I knew that It was all through Jesus and it was amazing so at youth group tonight(after this experience) I was praising God with all my heart. I feel like a weight has been lifted of y shoulders and that I can now be truly devoted to Jesus and doing God’s will.

So basically, Dare2Share helped me live up to my full potential of loving and trusting God.
