    A Letter to Columbus

Posted on Thursday 29 January 2009 by Greg @ 9:16 am

    Dear Columbus,

Here we come. We know you’ve had ice and snow storms earlier this week. We know you can be one cold city. But, through God’s power, we will not be stopped. We expect somewhere between 5,000-6,000 teenagers this weekend no matter what you bring weatherwise. These teens will melt your ice with their worship and set your streets ablaze with evangelism. They are invincible to your temperatures through the white hot might of their Savior. We heard the sun is supposed to be shining this weekend. Either way the Son will be shining through thousands of teenagers.

Get ready. Here comes the heat!

    Sincerely,

    The Dare 2 Share Crew

    P.S. Here’s a little taste of what to expect…

    Signed, Greg Stier

      • Hey Greg~
I wanted to email you but realize that you can’t just display you’re email for the world to see. I was wondering if you have ever heard of The Way of the Master. It is a book and program, along with Hell’s Best Kept Secret, that reveals a long lost biblical evangelistic method. It teaches how to use the 10 commandments, the law, to cultivate the hearts of people before they receive grace. Giving grace without the law is like telling people that you have the cure for their disease when they don’t even think they have a disease! But explaining their disease makes them appreciate the cure so much more. I urge you to check it out. Combined with your mission to train and give christian teens passion to share their faith, the Way of the Master would revolutionize the effects. Please look it up: http://www.wayofthemaster.com

        Sincerely,
        Anna Houben

      • My Youth Group [Brighter Days] Went to the Dare2Share conference this weekend and I’d like to share a really moving story with you. When we were collecting cans my friend Jessica and I got a really tough Neighborhood. We went to about 15 houses and only 5 people answered the door. We “graduated PU” FOUR TIMES!. The one time that we really got to talk to a man is the last house that we went to. We were totally bummed out because we hadn’t had a chance to share the GOSPEL during collecting cans. The house was sort of scary looking, but we went ahead. When the man answered the door I thought we were going to be attacked by his two HUGE pitbulls. The man was really sweet with us and when we told him our motives he told us to wait at the door and he’d be right back. The man came back about 3 minutes later with a can of tomato soup. One can. He apologized and said that was all he had. I teared up. We asked if he minded us sharing the Gospel with him. He said it was fine so after sharing we asked if there was anything we could pray for him about. He said that he was really tight on money and he thought he might be losing his house soon. I was really about to cry. So we prayed with the man and we did one last thing: We asked the man if he had accepted Jesus Christ as his savior in his life that day. He said yes. This was probably the most amazing thing that happened to me this weekend. Please pray for this man. :]

      • I was at Dare 2 Share this past weekend. I just wanted to say thank you so much. It helped me open my heart to Christ. It was truly amazing. Since then, I’ve talked to three more of my friends about God. I couldn’t be more happy. *Shreddin’ the Gnar* Can’t wait for next year! :)

      • Me and my youth group at Washington Heights Baptist Church in Dayton, OH came to Dare 2 Share this past weekend and it was an unbelievable experience. It was my first time and i wasn’t sure what to expect. Fee and Leeland were amazing and it was an awesome time of worship, but what was also amazing was the way you and the team at Dare 2 Share reached out to the audience. Every part had me interested and on the edge of my seat–the drama and the speaking. So many teens(including me) have a new perspective on sharing our faith and what it truly means to live for Christ. I will never forget this weekend and i can’t wait to see how God works through you, through me, through Dare 2 Share and through the thousands of teens who were also there this year. I will see you next year! Thank you and my God bless.
